I was told my NVC on 10/6 that we have scheduled your interview and have sent both of you letters. How do I track if the Mumbai consulate has received my papers from NVC?

I called on 9/15 and they told me that I was scheduled for an interview. I received the interview letter here in the States on 9/23/08. My husband never got the interview letter. I just scanned it and emailed it to him.

How long does it take to receive the interview appointment letter? I was told on 10/6 that your interview date has been scheduled. Does that mean my papers are at the USEM in Mumbai and when will me and my wife get the letter?

Hi Guys hope somebody will have an opinion on my case..I have RFE for ds230 (Typograhical error) #15 and #17, my wife send the correction today and NVC will received it tomorrow, how long the NVC will complete our case? is their any chance that I can be with my family in Chirstmas? my wife and my son is in Chicago and our wish is to be reunite before christmas. our case is almost complete, what happen when the NVC receive the correction? how long will I wait to have an Interview? it is possible that I will have an Interview in USEMBASSY MANILA on November? please give some advise because I'm starting to feel stress right now beacause of the RFE here is my timeline:

NVC took about 1 week after they received my corrected DS-230 to hear for a Case Complete. I did not wait for the NVC Coversheet as I used the Coversheet that was used to orignally send the DS-230. It should say ATTN: DR. Good luck with resending the DS-230 make sure you go over each line as you do not want any further delays.

Geez, I couldn't wait for this day....now I'm nervous about it.

11/17/2008: Interview date.

I just called NVC and got the Interview Date for November 17 @ 7:30 am. I am so excited.

I just called the NVC operator to speak with her and she stated that the CASE WAS COMPLETED TODAY. Then I checked the AVR and it still says that we have received your checklist reponse and blah blah blah. I spoke with NVC and asked her about the interview date and she said I would have to wait till the 2nd week of October.

The PCC that they require is ONE: FROM THE PASSPORT OFFICE and two the DISTRICT: FROM THE DISTRICT POLICE OFFICE. For instance my wife is from the Surat area so she got her pcc from surat passport office and the pcc from surat.

You should hear a case complete very soon. As long as the case complete is before the deadline then you should be scheduled for a November interview if the embassy is not full for interviews. Since they just updated the AVR on 9/22/08 you will hear the case complete by next week given that you are not RFE'd for anything else. Good luck.

Remember to call them on the second week of October to find out if they have scheduled an interview.

When you spoke to the rep, did they say that they have received everything and are waiting for that last RFE?

I called yesterday and they said your case is with a reviewer right now. I got the letter from NVC a few days ago and it stated all they needed was the DS-230 with Question 20 fully completed and a PCC. I have sent obth of those and made sure I have completed everything. I have thoroughly checked everything also. What should I ask them when I call? I can call them if you let me know what I should ask them.

I still have not heard Case Complete. The AVR said the missing document packet was received on 9/22/2008. Does anyone know when would I be able to hear. All they need to do is put the PCC and see if we have the dates in for Question 20. I really want to be out of there so I can get the interview in November.

The next words will be is that your case was sent to blah blah blah embassy on such and such a date.....then u can inquire as to the interview date via live voice or wait for the letter.

I received a checklist from NVC and a nice NVC operator told me what was missing so I got all of that taken care of and got it shipped from Indian expedited from a carrier. I was told I would get that package by Friday and now it seems like I wont get that package till Monday. NVC has told me not to wait for the coversheet and they told me to use the coversheet that I already have and I should be okay.

I will overnight the package to NVC on Monday. They should get it by Tuesday. I need to know how long will it take for them to process. I thought I read somewhere that it does not take as long as it did when they originally got the DS-230. Also, last time it took about 2 days for them to enter it in their system. I was wondering if for instance my case got complete on October 2 or 3 would I still be eligible for a November Interview date.

I have been trying to call the NVC and their number just keeps coming busy. Has anyone else had this problem? The number i call is 603-334-0700.

Yes that right, Only some district issues the PCC from police not all district does. So if you are one of those, then you need to submit the passport pcc only.

I just spoke with NVC and they told me that they need it in writing that they do not give a PCC. I was wondering if I got a PCC from the local police station if they would work. Also, how long does it take to get the NVC RFE letter in the mail and then how long does it take to process. They also tell me Question 2, 13, 20, and 23 on DS-230 were in complete after checking in Question 13 I did not put a N/A in Office Phone. In 20, I didnt put PRESENT on the years we have 05/2003 and I guess they want 05/2003 - Present. In 23, I need to write Diploma for middle and high school I guess. For Question 2, I am lost I do not know what I did wrong I filled in that information.

Most applicants are required to present a police clearance certificate (PCC) from the district police station with jurisdiction over their residence. HOwever, our office has been informed that certain police districts in the state of Gujarat not longer issue such clerances. Applicants who live in such districts should present only a police clerance certificate from their local passport office in lieu of a police clerance certificate from their district police station.

They said the DS-230 was incomplete and I checked everything and I guess I didnt put N/A or didnt she didnt write her ROman Alphabet in Gujarati.

The PCC, I didnt get from from Police Station because they do not issue that.

Good luck for your wife's interview. I live in Surat and my wife got her PCC from the Passport Office and no one has called her to the District office which is in Palsana. What do I do? I talked to my agent and he said that there is no PCC from the local office which is in palsana. He says in Gujarat you are unable to obtain a PCC from Local office. Please help me out. Thank You.
