  1. Worst part is - I have no idea what caused the long wait, so I can't give advice to others to avoid it either! I just remember the Tier 2 officer being as confused as I am. Well, it's done for now, I can relax. Thank you!
  2. It's crazy to see people getting their cases approved so fast, but I feel happy for them! And bad for the people that have been waiting for 2-3 years or more, that's unbelievable... yet there it is. I received an ADIT stamp a while ago, which put my mind at ease, and then just today got all three letters in the mail (extension/receipt notice, biometrics waiver, online access) - so I guess it could be worse? Still, that was 3 months of waiting for the basic notices in the mail. 😅 The actual wait begins now! Also, do not know if it's of any importance, but my case was marked as actively being reviewed twice - once on June 8th, second time on June 21st. Guessing because they finally sent out the mail.
  3. Happy to help!! 😊 On the other hand, I finally got confirmation on my ADIT and my case status is now "being actively reviewed", so I think I'm finally getting through! Hopefully the letter will be here within the week.
  4. I'll do my best to help! To preface - they haven't resolved my situation yet. I made a post on Reddit about this issue and was told to contact the USCIS Ombudsman, which I did, and to request an ADIT stamp while I wait for my receipt notice. The USCIS has not been very effective at resolving the issue, so contact them with the knowledge that this likely will take some time. Call them, when they ask you to speak, say "reschedule interview". Then, when the robot asks to clarify, say "interview". This should take you to a real agent to speak to. In my experience, they weren't very useful, but if your green card is expiring soon, you can ask them for an ADIT stamp and they'll schedule an appointment with a Tier 2 officer for you. ALSO - 30 days have not yet passed from the time you sent out the application. They are very likely to tell you to just wait for it in the mail still. You just might get it considering your check was cashed only a couple of days ago. I think you'll get your letter very soon!
  5. It's okay, I'll wait until the 31st, then try to call someone higher up, but for now it seems I did all I could really. Weird situation, that's all. 😄
  6. I got my receipt number (IOE, etc), but through the online assistant and not through the notice letter (since I never got it). They deposited my check months ago, so that tells me they got it. And everyone I spoke to from USCIS said the package was received, but they also implied I should've got the letter. I'm hoping for a response from the lockbox people soon!
  7. So I completed the online form for missing notice weeks ago, they responded that my e-mail is incorrect/unassociated with any applications, which is just flat out wrong because I double checked and it's the same as in the filed documents (I have copies of the originals I sent). So basically that search ended there. Then I called support and was told to try and contact the Phoenix Lockbox directly, in case they might have more information, but it's been a while now and still no response. I'm baffled as to what happened to my application because I have yet to receive any response that gives a solid answer. No issues with the application, it seems, it's just... not moving anywhere. And I'm not getting letters. 2 months now since filing almost. I haven't read about anyone getting their case stuck this early without any issues with the documents themselves.
  8. So, I ended up having to wait the full 30 days to file the non-delivery request for my missing receipt notice, as instructed by EMMA. I filed it today, so I'll respond here how long it takes me to actually get anything moving (they're estimating a response by May 31st... 😣). So far, I've waited a full month and I haven't got a single piece of evidence physically that my application was received. The payment was taken, EMMA can see it in the database as having been received, but no notice. I'm worried about accidentally missing biometrics if I get scheduled, due to the issues with mail. Honestly, I kinda have this feeling they never even sent out the letter LOL The good thing is that I filed as soon as my 90 day window opened, so I'll hopefully avoid having an expired green card and issues with the application at the same time. Until then...
  9. I'll see about filing it around the 21st, hopefully it's not too early in their eyes. I'd rather not wait if I can sort this out sooner. I didn't attach Form G-28 as I'm filing without a lawyer this time around. So the notices should automatically be sent to me and me only.
  10. Absolutely crazy that it takes so much longer. I initially thought the lawyer expedited the case somehow, but I guess not. This process would be so much less stressful if USCIS had a good system in place for notifications, organization and in general didn't make mistakes as much as they do. I think the biggest worry I have is USCIS messing up what I consider to be a pretty straight-forward case. Other than that, I can wait.
  11. It looks like they sent the receipt notice, or it could be just an automated text. Just gotta wait I suppose, and not worry just yet.
  12. I'll try that if nothing comes up soon, just hope this won't turn into a problematic case. Surprisingly, with a lawyer, my I-485 only took about... 8 months? So I was hoping for such luck this time around LOL Thank you, this reassures me! ☺️
  13. Yeah, I have my receipt number from Emma, but other than that, no news. Sadly his advice isn't very helpful past that point. But thank you regardless!
  14. It's been way over 2 weeks now since my application got in, no texts, no letters, I'm going crazy waiting. I know it can take up to a month, but I'm getting real worried that something went wrong. Everyone else seems to be progressing somewhere.
  15. Go to this link: https://ceciva.uscis.gov/Alme/ At the top right, click on "Ask a Question" with a woman's face. When the chatbox comes up in the bottom right of your screen, type "infopass". Then, when prompted, type or click "Make an infopass appointment". When asked for reason for appointment, type again "Make an infopass appointment". You should then be connected to a live person who will help you find your receipt number and answer questions to the best of their ability. I got my receipt code from them. I also did not get any notifications prior to doing this. After you get the code, you can check the status online via https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and find out what's going on with it. Hope this helps and doesn't come off too detailed, trying to assist 'cuz I know how it feels. 😎 BTW, best time to do it is in the early hours of the day, while everyone is at work, etc.
  16. Howdy y'all, I sent in my application on 03/27 via UPS to Phoenix, AZ and it was received by CHASE (Chase Bank???) on 03/29 in the early morning. I sent along a G-1145 and so I expected a text in about 5 days (as per everyone's experience), but haven't gotten any news yet. It's now been 10 days and I'm getting a tiny bit worried. Another reason for my worry is that their address for filing via UPS changed only a day later to Tempe, AZ, so they might have gotten mixed up or lost my application... I suspect they could just ignore the G-1145 and send the letter instead, but it seems like the majority of people on this forum and Reddit received texts with no issue. Important note to make is that I added a money order, and I did check - it was cashed, just not sure when exactly. Any ideas? Is this normal?
