  1. It is strange that she does not have reliable travel agents in her city or area. In SPB or any large city there are reputable agents that will prepare the visa for her. Hope that helps.
  2. That is very strange. My fiance is going to an agency in Yekaterinburg to obtain her visa. I do not know about SPB. I know she needs to go in person and apply, and then return to pick it up when it is ready. Hope that helps you.
  3. Yes and she is Russian. You apply for a visa through an agency, they are in all big cities in Russia, it usually only takes 10-20 days to obtain this visa. Russian people travel a lot to Europe, she should know how to locate such an agency as they are everywhere. We just sent the documents to the consulate and they will get back to me soon to schedule an interview date. We want to go in July. They give you a calendar where you can book a date, usually starting about 2-4 weeks out from the current date. It is easy to get to Warsaw. We will just fly to Budapest and take the train. Thats all I have to say for now.
  4. Israel is not accepting transfers right now. It is easy to travel to Poland, just have her apply for a Shengen visa to Hungary and take the train to Warsaw. This consulate is going to be your fastest and safest option. Unless you want to try going to Turkmenistan, which is over double the price to travel to and even more difficult to get a visa for. When you have a shengen visa you can travel anywhere within the Shengen zone. So just apply to Hungary.
  5. Good to hear that. Good luck and hope all goes well for you.
  6. Why are you trying to transfer? You are going to get rejected by most other countries. Warsaw is your best option. Just get a visa to Hungary and take the train from Budapest to Warsaw.
  7. Wow 6900 Euros seems like way too much. No one has ever mentioned that much before. My fiance in Russia said it would take 3-4 months to get a shengen visa and I think that is definitely not correct information.
  8. Hey guys, I would like to hear from people about the difficulty of getting a shengen visa for Russian citizens. I cannot find reliable information when I search online. My fiance is Russian and lives in Siberia, we have been sent to the consulate in Warsaw, and this looks to be the best option for us currently. She has never traveled anywhere before. We are going to apply for her to try to get the shengen visa to Hungary. Is it likely she can get the visa, and how long do you think it will take? Any opinions or advice is great, I see that other people have done this exact plan recently.
  9. Yeah man it is a big deal. Thats why its called "Fiance Visa." If you already got married that cancels the entire visa, now you have to start all over again and do the Spousal visa, which is a completely different type of visa. Thats probably why they denied you.
  10. I would like to know how far in advance people have been able to schedule their visa interview? It will take several months for my fiance to get a shengen visa because she is Russian. Most likely we will be assigned to the embassy in Warsaw, as most others have been, but things may change in the future. Any information is greatly appreciated, thank you and God bless.
