  1. This is what they have in Thailand to show you've changed your name. This is what we got for both kids and my wife for all of their name changes.
  2. I see. We have certificates for all of her name changes already as that's how we read it but I understand your way of going about it as well. It wasn't something we considered. Do you believe this will be fine or would you suggest we also provide a marriage certificate for her first marriage? Thank you for the information
  3. I'm referring to the marriage certificate from the original marriage which you stated I needed but the instructions only say divorce papers nothing about marriage certificate from the first marriage
  4. I have the divorce certificate but I wasn't aware I needed the original marriage certificate if I'm understanding you correctly?
  5. Up until assembling I thought I had everything but starting to second guess myself. Hoped to run a few things by everyone I'm sending in for my wife and two step children Do I need 3 separate copies of my birth certificate or will they pull it from my wife's file? My wife was previously married. She changed back to her maiden name after the divorce. She took my last name after we married. Do I need certificate of name change for when she first married, when she divorced and when she took mine? Thanks
  6. I'm getting mixed information. I-130 instructions say to add passport photos of myself as the petitioner...but others are telling me no. Can someone clear this up for me? Thanks
  7. 126/3 Village No.15, Ratchada Village Puea Sub-district, Chiang Klang District Nan province 55160 How exactly do I write this in the space provided when doing by mail. Is the city or town considered the sub district or district or are both listed there? Thanks
  8. I am a disabled American who draws SSI. However I'm able to work to a certain degree and have had other small jobs in the past five years. Under employment history do I listed under employer 1 disabled and the starting date? If so is anything else needed there? I've done some gig work for GrubHub which I'm technically a self-contractor for. Do I just list GrubHub and their corporate headquarters? Thanks
  9. Information about beneficiary's family... I understand when I'm filling this out for my wife who I list.. however when I fill this out for her two kids...is this section left blank? Page 8 62.a. the beneficiary will not apply for adjustment of status in United States but he or she will apply for an immigrant visa abroad at the US embassy.... Not sure what this is asking? Thanks everyone for your continued help
  10. I'm filling out the I-130 and have a few questions. Im a US citizen filling the form out for my Thai wife Address history....I owned two homes until recently. I never changed my primary address so for the last five years its been the same but I lived 90/10 in another home I owned for two years in the last five. Do I add that address even though my license didn't change? Or do I just list the one? Names of your spouse...Do they want her married last name or fathers last name? Question 38 Do i mark yes for this question and add my birth cert or is this question for non natural citizens Employment...I have been disabled since 2014 and draw ssi...However in that time I started a business for several years that I closed mid last year. It was never profitable but is on my tax records. Do I add this? I've done some gig work....grub hub, insta cart...Never made more then a couple thousand dollars a year. Do I add this? Thanks
  11. Yes she took my name before her new passport. So I should send my flight itinerary as evidence also? Thanks
  12. My (USA) wife (Thai) and I have decided to go forward with the process ourselves rather then hire a lawyer. I've been printing out the required documents and have a few questions hopefully some people can answer. I have three I-130 forms one for her and one for each of her children. I am correct that I need one for each? I have the I-130A form. I have two I-864 forms one for myself and one for my mother who will co-sponsor. This is the correct form for her? I have the G-1145 form for e-notifications Are there any more forms I missing? I have passport photos for her and the kids. I didn't see anything about it but just to be clear do I need them for myself and my mother? Documents I have... Marriage certificate translated in English, her divorce papers translated in English. My birth certificate. Documents I need... Birth certificates for her and the children. Evidence that shows our marriage is of good faith. We have no joint accounts and have never lived together. Can someone better explain what exactly I need as sworn affidavits from family as to our marriage? We have plenty of family photos together, I can show that I've supported her since we got engaged. When she got divorced she changed her last name back to her family name. When we got married she took my last name. Do we need documentation for any of this? We have passports for her and the kids. Will I need to send in any type of documents that says she has sole custody of the children? Is there anything I am missing or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks
  13. My wife and I married 2/9/23 in Bangkok and I'm now back home in America and ready to start the cr1 process. I have a question before I start. Should I do this online or mail physical copies? Thanks
