  1. After my stepson case was DQ'd on 05/05/2023 at NVC, he finally received a visa interview date at the U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines. It took 10 months and 2 days, but better late than never!!!
  2. Just an update for those of you waiting for a visa appointment from the US Embassy in Manila for IR/CR applicants, per my state Senators Office (who inquired with NVC), the wait time right now is 18 months from DQ date. This is not because of NVC scheduling, but because of the USEM still working through the backlog of visa applicants from COVID-19 time frame. If you need your spouse/relatives to get a quicker date, the best bet is to apply for a Expediate Request (with supporting documentation) ....and to get your congressman assistance when you submit your Expediate Requests. Regards.
  3. For those of you who are waiting to get a IR-2 visa appointment (child visa) with the U.S. Embassy in Manila, per my Senator's office, who reached out to NVC today, they are currently working on those applicants who where DQ'd in June 2022 or earlier. Hope this helps any and all of you waiting patiently (like I have). Regards.
  4. Just FYI for everyone is has an approved IR-2 and are waiting for a visa interview from the US Embassy in Manila. I just received a response from my State of Hawaii Senator Brian Schatz office (I requested assistance from them due to my Expediate requests being disapproved by USEM) indicating that USEM is now working on IR-2 visa interviews for cases that were DQ at NVC in June 2021....so for me (my step-son's case was DQ on May 2023), I have another several more months to wait...unless I submit an expediate request (he turn 21 on 04/29/2025). If your children will be turning 21 (age-out) soon, submit an Expediate request to NVC indicating that they will be aging out soon. Hope this information is helpful. Regards.
  5. To everyone waiting for a IR-1/IR-2 visa interview date from NVC for the US Embassy, Manila....there is a backlog of visa cases waiting for interview dates. Right now, the wait time is 6 - 8 months. This is from the senator's office who I requested help from here in Hawaii. The lady I spoke to recommended me doing an Expediate request to NVC to try and get a earlier date, otherwise, get ready for a long wait for those IR-1/IR-2 visa interview dates from Manila!!
  6. Does anybody know if there are delays for getting CR-2 visa appointments at the U.S. Embassy in Manila? My step-son CR-2 case was documentarily qualified by NVC on 5 May....but we still have not received a visa appointment from them. Please let me know if anybody has a similiar case pending at NVC (waiting for visa interview dates from US Embassy in Manila).
  7. Does anybody know if there is any delay in NVC acknowledging receipt of payments? I paid both (AOS and IV) this past Monday, but CEAC still shows "IN PROGRESS"....and both have gone through my bank already. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. Hello everybody! My step son 's (who resides in the Philippines) visa petition was approved by USCIS yesterday. How long is it taking for NVC to receive from USCIS and to create case files?
  9. Many thanks pushbrk! I hit 1 year on the 15th of this month.....I hope to hear something soon. Just FYI....I looked at the USCIS processing times for on their website and noticed it went up from 8.5 months to 14 months (for NSC) in the past couple of days.
  10. Does anybody know how long USCIS (NSC) is taking in approving IR 2 visa? I petitioned for my wife's 17 year old son, who is in the Philippines. My receipt date is 3/15/2022....and I was just curious if similar members are seeing these types of extensive delays.
