No they won't but when I went to the US, I let them know that I have a green card application and if they ask about where you are in the process, I was always open and honest about being in AP.
Hey, I just wanted to double check. Is it by email to request for the passport back? I was seeing something about a form but it might be an older thing. I sent an email but just waiting to hear back from them.

It doesn't affect the process at all, so request it back ASAP. It really depends I got mine after 4-5 days of requesting it.
Thank you, I will right away. Do you think if I travel with the passport they would ask me to fill out another ds5535 or anything like that? Sorry I’m just super paranoid lol

How long does it usually take if I ask for my passport back? And does anyone know if asking for your passport will delay the process even more? My interview was on July 21st 2023. They asked me to fill out a ds5535 as well as send them a missing document along with my passport which was sent a few days later. Thank you all for your help

Hello everyone. I had my interview yesterday and unfortunately was refused due to the birth certificate translation document. The officer handed me a refusal letter and on it she highlighted a form (ds-5535) and told me to fill it out. The link does not work. Can someone please help. It also says to send the document along with the passport. Is this normal?

Hello everyone,
Recently had our interview and were given a 221g to submit a document and the passport. We've since sent the document and the passport to the consulate (and it has been received by them)
Any idea on how long they usually take to process? And where we could track this?
We don't want to be waiting for months as we've given the passport alongside the document that was requested.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi!
I’m sorry you’re going through the same thing. I was given one today as well :(.
for some reason the link given to me on the 221g is not working. Did your link work? -

I checked the Visadoctor.ca vaccine checklist and I don't see it there, however, I know that I got this shot in high school so you may have already got it when in high school if you were in Ontario like me.
Here is the list from USCIS https://www.uscis.gov/tools/designated-civil-surgeons/vaccination-requirements
So weird for some reason I’m missing it on my vaccine records lol so maybe I didn’t get it in high school. I guess I’ll have to wait for the medical exam and see if they ask me to get it done since it’s not showing up as a requirement on the list.

Does anyone know if the meningococcal vaccine is needed as part of the medical exam? I can’t seem to find the information.

Unfortunately yes, that’s not a good thing to have extensive travel history.
They will most definitely ask you about the countries you’ve visited. Its always advised to limit international travel during the visa process, so you should avoid it until your interview.
For previous travel be sure to have all information to answer any questions the CO might ask.
My interview is in July and I came back from the last country in may and I won’t be traveling until my interview date. Thank you! Do you know what questions they might ask?
-
Does anyone know if this would be a problem?
I quit my job over a year ago and saved up enough money to be able to travel to many countries. I’m worried when they ask me during the interview how many/what countries I’ve been to the last 5 years. Is it bad that I’ve been traveling a lot? Has anyone had any similar experience? -

It's the web form you filled out at NVC stage. You can't have gotten DQ at NVC without submitting the DS-260. Check your inbox or spam folder for an email from a state.gov address, with subject line "US DoS - CEAC Confirmation (MTL<case#>)". That email should have an attached PDF file of your DS-260 confirmation.
Wow thank you so much!!!! Am I suppose to print the attachment with the barcode and bring that to the interview as well?
-
Can someone please explain to me what the DS-260 is? My interview is in July and I’m freaking out a little because I keep seeing posts about it and I’m not sure what it is!

Does anyone know when/if/how to register for the appointment? I tried to register and put my case number and everything in but it said my case is “not ready to schedule an appointment” is this something you do closer to the interview date?
Same thing happened to me! I think we might have to wait since we just got the letters maybe? Does anyone know?

Not for me - but again I'm April 5th so I wasn't expecting one. I haven't heard a thing about others yet either though.
Nothing for me either! DQ march 1st. I really had hope for an IL this month.

DQ’ed feb 13th, still waiting for an interview letter. CR1 category
Wow and here I thought everyone in February that was under CR1 got their letters last month lol but fingers crossed you’ll get yours in the next few days!

Has anyone started getting their interview letters for this month? My DQ was march 1st. Looks like most of February DQs received their letters last month around this time.

After visiting my husband in the us, I spoke to a lawyer that told me instead of dealing with the ds5535 just file within AOS which I did not know was possible. So now we filed for the AOS.
