  1. I'd like to travel for longer after this short visit coming up in May 😊
  2. Hey guys Do you know if you can visit the US on an ESTA while awaiting your interview for the B2? I've got an active ESTA and have decided, after already making plans (flights etc) to visit the US on this ESTA that later on it will be best for me to get a B2. I can't do the interview for that until August. So should I still be ok to travel on this ESTA if I submit my application for the B2 now? Thanks in advance for any advice!
  3. This is amazing information thank you so much! Yes, I've been in secondary questionning before, it's quite daunting, isn't it?! And yes, for partner visas, I went through all of that with my ex to get us residency in Australia, again a daunting process haha. But thank you so much, it's amazing to hear from someone with experience in this. Really helps 💛
  4. Thank you. Don't suppose you also have experience in trying to visit a US partner for temporary long visits?
  5. Thank you everyone. I was thinking the same. Have seen we can volunteer on an ESTA but agreed on the amount of re-entries. Thank you
  6. Hey guys. This forum was very helpful on my last post and ypu all advised me not to bother with the K1 visa, instead to visit my partner on an ESTA visa. Basic overview - I am a UK citizen, living in Australia and have a partner from the US. We're trying to figure a way to not have to do this long distance anymore. So I'd like to temporarily move to the US to be with him (I will not be working). We are then planning to come back to Australia mid next year to settle for a while, while I do my citizenship. Best to be married for that so that's what we will plan to do. My question right now is what is the go with re-entering on an ESTA? Our timeline looks like this for 2023/2024: Our current plans look like this for 2023/2024: - I am visiting him for 2 weeks May/July. - I am going to the UK to visit family and for a trip to Italy for 4 weeks. - I would visit him again for 4 weeks, end of July to end of August. - We would both go to the UK for a 2 week visit. - I would come back with him early September. - We would vacation out of the US for 10 days/2 weeks before heading back together. - We fly to the UK for Christmas, for 2 weeks. - I would fly back again with him in Jan, we would get engaged in the following couple of months. - We plan a 2/3 week vacation to the UK/France in March. - I fly back to the US with him and we would marry in May. So, I would be re-entering the US 5 times in a time period of 7 months. Never for more than 90 days. All the while being able to prove to immigration that I am independently financially capable of not needing employment. I am also looking at volunteering during these stays, either at a humane society or the forestry service where he lives and would hopefully be able to provide a letter from the organisation stating I am volunteering only. If anyone has any experience in this, please let me know! 😊 Thank you!
  7. Thank you everyone. Stupidly we didn't even think about marrying on an ESTA visa. We've been doing long distance for several months and just don't want to have to do this anymore. We will look into the ESTA visa route and take it from there. Thank you all again!
  8. Hey My situation is possibly a little different. I am a UK citizen living in Australia as a Permanent Resident and my partner is living in the US. Basically, I am wanting to move to the US to get engaged and eventually married to my partner. I understand that I cannot work even once the K1 is granted. Which in all honesty, is fine. We are looking to get the K1 visa and get married and once that's approved, move back to Australia so that I can obtain my Australian Citizenship as this has been a long term goal of mine. So, our question is, can we do this? Can I get granted the K1 visa and then not worry initially about a work visa/green card, until we move back to the States? Another question would be, would I be able to visit him long term (on an esta visa, for 3 months at a time), while we wait on the approval of the K1? He is financially able to support us while I do this and I would not be looking to seek any income from the States while there. It would just be so that we could live together during this time, obviously on constant temporary bases. Thank you in advance for any advice!
