  1. Oh dear, sorry to hear that.. we didn’t have that issue, but we were on IMC and calling in to double check they were submitting as soon as they could..I think they are still having some teething issues. If anything, I would think issue is from clinic side than embassy side. You could ask IMC to freshly resubmit? It should just be a click of a button.
  2. They pushed it up by a week, but we got lucky by kept refreshing the police appointment portal, so will be doing it next week, hopefully this is the last step.
  3. Yeah that’s been my past experience, they are always nice and accommodating. We are going to try a walk in and see if it works..
  4. Yeah she has to do the fingerprinting. Luckily the 221g process is just to submit the documents and passport, they don’t hold the passport. So the sooner you have the docs, the sooner you get it sorted.
  5. Yeah just another hurdle to jump. We didn’t get one because my wife hadn’t been in singapore for full 6 months, as at the original interview date. But by the revised date, it was 6 months and a few days, so they do require it now.
  6. We got a 221g, they need a singapore police certificate, we were borderline on that 6 month cut off for police certificates. The wait time to get a fingerprinting is 3 weeks, our fingerprint appointment is on the 24th of May, so looking at an almost one month delay. Any ideas on expediting the fingerprinting, wondering if we can do a walk in and make a request.
  7. I ask because, the appointment email says that mobile phones are not allowed inside the embassy. Do the security office keep the phone for you? I believe there’s lockers on first come first serve basis for larger electronics, but wasn’t sure what to do with mobile phones
  8. Folks who have already completed their interviews.. is there a waiting area before security for people accompanying the interviewees?
  9. I’d think this would be under EB… wait time for the letter could be 2-4 weeks more, and interview about a month after the letter..
  10. Thanks again! Congratulations on receiving your visa, and good luck in the US!
  11. Thanks a lot for that! When did you eventually get your medical done and submitted? We got ours done on Monday, but waiting for the actual submission to happen. Do they give you a slot right after medical is done, or is there a few days waiting period before they come back with a date? Apologies in advance for the many questions.
  12. Hi Jin Lee Sin, I believe your original interview was in Feb, and because of that Medical clinic fiasco you had to reschedule your interview date. How did that process work? Were you able to just reschedule through CGI? I can’t see any dates at all in my case, just a note saying we will get a response via email.
  13. Interesting… do they require these docs both original and copies in the exact order they specified?
  14. Hi… the rescheduling website doesn’t show any dates. It said they will contact via email. My hunch is that this is something to do with the medical exam not being done much earlier than interview date.
  15. Ours was F2A, were you a IR1? Did they mention something about manpower issues to you before or during the interview? They would prioritize IR if there’s a manpower issue, we are wondering if this is a short term thing or a longer term issue.
  16. We have not received any update yet, probably given the weekend. Hopefully something soon.
  17. Yeah literally on our way. We were not impacted by the retrogressions, our priority date was sep 2019. When did you get the letter for the May 10 interview date, if I may ask? I’d think if anyone is impacted, it’s probably people having interviews in the next few days.
  18. We got hit with some bad news over night. Our appointment was cancelled by the embassy due to “manpower issues”. Embassy has asked us to reschedule via the ustraveldocs website. That puts us in more uncertainty again, not clear when we will get an appointment. We feel like we’ve been put in the back of the queue again. Anyone going through this?
  19. The Montreal embassy advices to complete the medical exam 4 working days prior to interview, and IMC says the medical exam should be ideally done 10 calendar days ahead, but no explicit advice from SG embassy.
  20. My understanding is that the typical lag is due to the wait time on blood test results etc, but I imagine the E filing should be instantaneous once submitted. But in general it sounds like we should expect 5-10 business days between medical exam and embassy receiving results.
  21. Yeah, we set the appointment for 17th of April, it’s the day before the interview. We had no choice as the baby’s Covid vaccine won’t be done till 14th April. We would rather notify the embassy and attend the interview on the scheduled date with the pending medical exam than try to reschedule given the uncertainty on dates.
  22. Hi there! How did your interview go? Did they receive your medical exam on time? One question on the exam - do they check for Covid vaccinations or does the embassy check that rather than the doctors medical exam. My baby is just getting his first dose today, but apparently needs two doses.
  23. Understood, thank you! , please keep us posted on how everything goes next week, good luck for a smooth process!
  24. Thanks again! I believe you posted before that the interview was on the 15th of Mar, if you the clinic is e filing, I guess the exam results are immediately received by the embassy? Did IMC initially give you an exam date that was prior to the interview date and pulled it earlier due to cancellation? Just trying to understand how backed up the clinics are.
  25. Thanks for that ! How long did you have to wait to get an appointment after first reaching out to the clinic? Can the X rays, vaccinations etc be done in a single day? Also are they doing the E filing ? Apologies quite a few questions.
