  1. Looks like yours took a lil longer. Did you get an RFE? We got married in Aug of '21 and petition filed end of Oct '21. DQ Dec '22. Hope there's a break in the next IL issuance.
  2. Here's what I think happened. Due to the travel restrictions caused by covid, a solid number of weddings were put on hold all of 2020. In the begging of 2021, borders begun to open and in the summer of 2021, most of them weddings happened. It's that group that got their DQ's from around Aug - Sept 2022. So whereas at the beginning of 2023, 25 interview letters would cover 2 months of DQs, now 60 IL's barely do a month of DQs. It's the numbers. We will get there somehow. As for my son's bday and that of mine, looks like another year of forlorn hope. We are June babies.
  3. Hang in there. Can't get worse. Hitting the 16 month mark on wed myself. I have a feeling you'll get the IL this time round.
  4. That's quite impressive. I really hope that you get the IL this week, you'!! already be 16 months DQ in a couple weeks anyway
  5. Edit: Have realized that the status changes when you already got the interview date.
  6. Hi there. Have you logged in to CEAC lately? Anything? You know am relying on you to keep hope alive! 😂
  7. Heard rumors they are out but haven't confirmed yet. There's little or no info that comes from those who've received.
  8. Looks like for visa categories applied through USCIS, it's destination Nairobi.
  9. Seems like you been answered. However, just prove to them that you urgently need it for the interview and they'll expedite....or at least they said that about the backlog. Maybe a copy of the interview letter or something. It's best to do it at the HQ's
  10. Why are you pushing yours forward so far and am right behind you. You should hear something by end of Feb if not Jan. Also seems like there were a lot of DQ's in a month around Aug '22 moving forward. Anyway, keep logging into the CEAC status
  11. It first moves from NVC and status changes to transit. When they receive it they email.
  12. Congrats! What date in Sept were you DQ'd?
  13. Have you logged on to CEAC recently? There should be some movement for you soon.
  14. The report is out! A very impressive 85 IR1 and 2 CR1 combined. 51 IR1 for Kenya. I see you getting your IL as early as Jan of that end of year trend replicates in Nov and Dec.
  15. Proly coz they had a long Thanksgiving weekend. They'll post it coming week as well as send out IL's for Nov.......hope they send double the number considering the Dec holidays.
  16. 3 weeks and I'll be 1yr DQ too. You are almost there. It's taking about 16 months to IL. If they only issued 100 IL's at a go, you'd be among that lot 😂. We wait though.
  17. Greetings fam. Any new IL to anyone here? Seen the Sept statistics for Kenya...CR1 6, IR1 24. Any expedited case here? Just trying to make sense of the CR1 and the whole process really. In one and a half months time I'll be DQ'd for 12 months....doesn't feel like the 14 months timeline is realistic right now.
  18. The kinda news I love to read. Hopeful to hear this more often.
  19. Someone else was concerned about that on a different platform but got assurance from a citizen who has used that link before. She said they receive emails later on from the embassy with a zoom link. Only for citizens
  20. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=dFDPZv5a0UimkaErISH0S1O31Cp_wttOhjTgJR1RtwhURFlVRlhTTzhRS0VJVFBGT0k2UDRRSDk5TCQlQCN0PWcu The embassy is holding a town hall on 17th march. You could try see if they'll answer questions about the delays etc...
  21. I really hope they pick up the pace, especially for folks who've been waiting for over 12 months for IL. Wifey cannot wrap her mind around the thought of coming over for summer then having to leave me behind....which if the current numbers are anything to work with, there's a high possibility 😪
