  1. Sorry for the confusing post. I have been completely stressed about this whole situation. I’ll keep my question short and as clear as possible…. My I-129F form was approved by USCIS and sent to the Bogota embassy in December. My fiancé filled out and submitted the DS-160 form. When she attempts to schedule an interview, it shows that there are no available interviews at this time. The 4 month window that was given to us expires on March 31st. My questions: 1. Will she be able to schedule an interview after March 31st since it will be expired? - If yes, will I need to bring a letter of intent for an extension? 2. Is there a reason it’s showing there are no interviews at this time? Should I contact someone specifically and ask?
  2. We are in a little bit of a dilemma. My 129-F form was approved for the interview process with my fiancé in Colombia. HOWEVER, our interview deadline is fast approaching and my fiancé still has not completed what's required prior the meeting. After doing a little bit of research, I read that you are able to ask for an extension and a consular officer can extend the validity of the petition if it expires before visa processing is completed. My questions are..... 1.) How do I request an extension? Is there a letter of intent that I need to write? a form that I fill out online? 2.) Will the visa expire and have to start the process over again if I schedule my interview date past the original date given? Sorry if these questions have been asked before. I tried using the search button but couldn't find anything recent and/or relating to Colombia. Thanks in advance!!
  3. Thank you for your response. Do you have any idea of how long until I get a receipt notice (I-797)? I submitted my K-1 visa application back at the end of February so it’s been roughly almost two months.
  4. 1. I sent tracking through USPS with the envelope with all my visa items. It showed that it arrived in the Texas P.O. 2. I can walk in personally and check with my bank but I haven’t at this point. My main concern is that I haven’t hear anything. I thought I would at least get a received email or a phone call by two months. Just hoping to get some input from people that have gone through the same or something similar. Thank you again.
  5. Good evening Visa Journey people, I have a quick question - Recently I submitted the K1 visa with my fiancé from Colombia back on February 29th, 2023. I sent it to the Dallas with a cashier check, however, I still have not received a response. What is the standard protocol for this? Considering it’s been 2 months with no response, should I be concerned? Should I wait patiently? Is there a number I can contact? My fiancé and I would just like some peace mind know it’s been received at the very minimum. Thanks.
  6. Hello all, Long time lurker soaking up as much information as possible with a first time question: 1.) Can I just print our passport style pictures, pictures of us on vacation, and our corresponding passport stamps on paper using a good quality color printer on computer paper?? OR should I move them on a flash drive and take them to a photo store and transferring onto actual photographs? Thank you!
