  1. Sorry maybe this is a dumb question... how do they know where to send the green card? Is there something we will fill out upon arriving in the US?
  2. Hi there. My wife received her passport with IR1 visa in the mail today. I have a few questions: What's the process for obtaining the actual green card once we arrive in the US? Furthermore, just to be clear, this green card is valid for 10 years (no conditions to be removed)? And after 3 years she can apply for naturalization? What about a SSN? We previously lived in the US and my wife was issued a social security number. Will this still be valid? Will they send a new card
  3. Ours took about 2 weeks from DQ to interview scheduled. Interview was scheduled for 2 months advance.
  4. Bumpig this thread because we are currently stuck here too. The GSS website as a whole is terrible...
  5. Before I could take any further action we got another email saying we were documentarily qualified: "The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas." So... I guess we won't do anything else?
  6. I can't find the doc on my computer or a printed copy. I thought I could re download the one I uploaded but doesn't seem to be possible. We are now "Documentarily Qualified" and waiting on an interview -- so a bit panicked that we are now missing a required doc.
  7. Thank you for the reply. But why would my spouse beneficiary not be part of my household? She has a job (a remote position) that she expects to keep, thus contributing income.
  8. I believe I made a mistake when submitting documents as our CEAC portal now has my spouse (the visa beneficiary) listed in the AOS section and is asking for documents. Obviously my spouse is trying to obtain the visa and has none of the required documents (see attached). What should I do?
  9. I have an additional question: When asked about my household size, the correct answer should be 2. Myself and my spouse. My spouse is the principal immigrant being sponsored. However, the form reads this as a household size of '3' Does anyone have a suggestion on correcting this?
  10. So would I need to provide a letter from my employer or something?
  11. I see. My employment will continue the same but if it's safer to just use a joint sponsor I can do so
  12. I am a US citizen petitioning for a CR1 for my wife. My wife and I live together outside of the US. We will be moving to the US together. It's my understanding that regardless of my income, the fact that I don't have current residence in the US means I have to have a joint sponsor for the I-864. Is that right?
  13. The I-130 has questions about my job and residence. Both of which have changed since I filed in 2021. The I-130a has questions about my wife's job and residence. Both of which have changed since I filed in 2021. I'm just wondering if I should resubmit the forms exactly as I originally filed or if I should provide the latest information.
  14. Can anyone comment on whether or not I should update the information on the I-130 and I-130a? Since originally filing in 2021 my spouse and I have both moved and taken new jobs. So I'm wondering if I should fill the form out as I would today or exactly as I originally submitted in 2021.
  15. Right. That is what they requested. But I'm worried they "Won't be able to open and view" again which will result in a rejection. Right? If the evidence requested reply isn't good you don't get another chance is my understanding. So should I mail this one in? Upload through the portal again?
  16. Sorry, I'm not sure what that means. We are living overseas & applying for CR-1.
  17. Hi all I filed our I-130 online in Nov 2021. I've just received a request for evidence stating: (Yes the typo in "Infomration" is in the actual letter... how professional!) Has anyone seen this before? All my evidence was uploaded as PDF and I have no issue viewing them in my account portal. I'm a bit worried to proceed with online filing now as if they "can't open" my response won't we be automatically rejected?
