I have been waiting for our embassy to give an appointment for 2 months now. Would contacting congressman help facilitate anything ?

When should I do the ds160? Should I wait till I get the letter from the embassy?

Hi everyone,

I received my case number via a public inquiry but I never received a "welcome email". It says because of my petition type I won't be receiving request for fee or documents etc... 

My question is did any of you get a welcome letter with an invoice ID to track the status? How are you guys tracking?

I looked at past posts and appears it could be Jordan

He’s Syrian and usually we go to Lebanon or Amman but we were assigned Beirut. 

Looking for some help here. My case was approved 10/30 and we are at the NVC. However because of what’s happening in Isreal/Palestine it looks like the Beirut embassy is only processing limited “immigrant visas”. I tried emailing them to see if the K1 is within that category or not. Does this mean I need to transfer my case? I am not sure what to do? Why would NVC assign my case there if they are only processing limited visas.

I was approved on Oct 30. It’s been two weeks and they keep telling me it hasn’t been received. Last inquiry I did was on Sunday, I got a response yesterday. Should I do another one, or just wait at this point? 

When do we submit our affidavit of support, does that go to the nvc or the embassy?

Hi everyone. How did you guys pay for the visa fee after doing the DS160? My fiancé is not in Jordan- how were you all able to pay? Thanks! 

My case was approved! NOA1 01/18/23-10/30/23!

My Fiancé was affected by the earthquake in Syria a few weeks ago. He had to leave his home that has a lot of damage, and is literally sleeping in the car. I filed an expedite request through “Emma” and was denied. I’m in shock being that it is a humanitarian crisis, should I try again?
