  1. Yeah agree  there are only two documents to be verified in NSO. But since you have already paid twice, there's nothing we could do about it anymore. Need to wait until doc verification is completely done and forwarded to USEM to finalize the visa approval/delivery.

God bless Kenneth! Your visa in the way :)

Yun na nga yun...charge to experience nalang...just didnt want to risk anything at this point....lapit na e

:) Good luck and keep the faith!!! Your visa is on the way pala (hindi your visa in the way) :D

    Thanks so much!

Good luck also to all those having their medical and interview this coming week!!!

  2. We all know that the process for CR1/IR1 at the NVC level is considerable different that K1 and K3s.

NVC ask and gathers tons of documents (marriage certificate, birth certificate, AOS, etc.) before they even get to the embassy in Manila. As oppose to the K1 and K3s where, it almost skips NVC then the US embassy in Manila gathers the rest of the documents.

My question is, does anyone here "know" of a CR1/IR1 case that have been put on AR (white slips) due to document verification?

Hi! My petition is IR-1. Had my interview last May 16....

CONSUL: "...everything seem to be ok. we are just waiting to receive one document and you're on your way..."

On the releasing section of the embassy, i was given the white slip and asked to pay delbros for document verification.

I did pay early on, April 16 to be exact and when I checked with delbros, the request for documents were forwarded to the NSO last May 5. Unfortunately, until now, the requested documents are not yet with the embassy....

Hope this will not cause a long delay the issuance of my visa...

  3. I don't think so. Because the document verification is to verify the birth certificate record and to verify the civil status of the beneficiary from the NSO, and nothing else. And that is included in the P650 that you paid prior to your interview date. No need for you to pay again another document verification because you paid already for that, you should have just given them the receipt.

When the result from NSO was forwarded already to embassy then that would be the time the CO will complete the processing of the visa and will be released.

Good luck to all of us here.

  4. Hi people!

Just came back from my interview at the embassy. Everything went well but a document still has to be verified...

CONSUL: "...everything seems to be ok. We will just have to wait fom one more document, then you're on your way..."

Thing is, I paid for the visa verification last April 16...I checked with Delbros and they said that the request was sent to the NSO last May 5...is that enough time for the NSO to send whatever document/s that the US embassy requests for?

Now, back to the embassy....on the releasing counter (where they give out the pink and white slips), I was asked to pay for document verification. I did not even bother to ask anymore or tell them that I paid for it prior to the interview. Besides, I dont know if there is any way for us to know if the NSO have finished and submitted the requested docs to the embassy or not... what I was thinking was that the embassy needed more or an additional document and that is why I was asked to pay for another document verification....did i think right?

Anyways, do any of you guys know or has any idea as to how long this will take? I am hoping that the first payment that I made, the documents requested there are not yet with the embassy and that the NSO is just about to provide them with the documents. That will make things faster, right? If not, then, what we looking at?...weeks...months?

    Kenneth

Hi Kenneth, did you pay again the doc verification fee? Robbie said that it will take 1 week to a month to verify docs in NSO. If there's no problem with records in NSO it will only take 1 to 2 weeks.

I am quite sure you are approved, they just need your docs from NSO verified.

    CONGRATS!!!

Yeah, I paid again....mali nga e...i was thinking that they needed more docs to be verified...

Just a while ago, I spoke to Robbie...and that was exactly what he told me, that I shouldnt have paid. Anyway, he asked me to check with the embassy if the docs were sent by NSO already. He was quite sure that they werent with the embassy yet. May 5 was the date when the request from the embassy for docs was sent to the NSO.

Now, I called the embassy, go to talk to grace. Think she was checking on the computer my file but could not access it. She said that the file is being reviewed and that is why she could not access. I was asked to call again in an hour....

    Hope everything turns out well...

  6. Thanks for the advise Shape! Hope all turns out well tomorrow...im so excited and nervous at the same time!!!!

    Hi Kenneth,

Thank you. Yes the same procedure too coz during my interview i've met also applicants from ir1/cr1 and some who are petitioned also by their parents and some petitioned by their children. It depends also what your pre-screener -to-be will ask you and also on which consul you will be interviewed.

Good luck. Just an advice when you are already there, while waiting it will lessen your worries when you are chitchatting, then you will forget the tension and nervousness. Haha, that's what i did. 1040078pjtfxwjzwi.gifGood luck.

    Shape[/color]

  7. Congrats Shape!!! Very well done!!!

I wonder if the procedure and the questions are the same with IR applicants??? does anyone have any experience or have heard of one :help: ...share naman....im quite tensed na e, my interview is on Friday already!!!!

    Kenneth

    Hello fellows,500831bpsu96c9te.gif

Finally, i'm done with my tension for now. 369315rg7t2lcr0p.gifI had my interview at USEM Manila yesterday May 12, 2008. Arrived before 6:30am and my first fell in line at security to enter the embassy, where they posted IR1/Cr1/K1/K3 Non-immigrants visa applicants. It wasn't long line there compared with the other two lines (for other applicants). There were different lines also for "seafarers", that's probably the some people said who had had previous interview at USEM where they said we should arrive so early. But there's nothing to worry about that. Those long lines were different from us.(who has scheduled interview at the consul).

At this security check, he asked for my appointment letter that embassy sent me, i told him i didn't receive any packet from USEM, what i have was e-mail appointment letter that they sent us right after I scheduled my interview, i told him briefly this is what i showed also in St. Lukes and the guard noticed that there's St.Lukes marked on my appointment letter, he just uttered "hindi co yata alam yun ah, ok cge patingin nalang I.d mo", i showed him only my postal i.d, and he let me in.

(Hey guys, don't bother anymore to bring your cellphones or any gadgets, because there is really no way you can store it in USEM, though there are this outside people who will charge you P200 for you to give them your cellphones and you will be given by number for you to claim it later. Well , this people are not working at USEM. It's up to you guys, either you entrust your phone to these outside people and pay P200 for them to keep your phone while your still inside the Embassy or just leave your phone in your house, for me i didn't bring my phone, i just left at the hotel.)

At second security, the guard asked again my appointment and i showed him and he instructed me to window 3, it's where I put all my things to their x-ray machine for security check. After this, the guard instructed me to embassy pavillion. (geez! this was a wrong instruction he gave me, been in pavillion, fell in line for almost 40 mins and when i was almost finished at the line, when the staff checked my ds156 and ds157 he said, ma'am You should be at the immigrants section. There were few of us also in K3 and K1 there who got wrong instructions from the guard from the window 3. So, the staff told us to to go to immigrants section. When we got there, there were many people already, wow, just because of that wrong instruction. Those some applicants who were scheduled for 8:30am were ahead of us already. But it's okay. It's past already.

Ok here's the steps i have done yesterday inside the Immigrants Section. (don't worry guys we won't be going to different floors here, its only in this Immigrant Section big room that everything will happen from the 1.checking of ds forms, 2.finger scanning, 3.pre-screening,4. consul interview, and 5.delbros- payment of visa delivery, unlike in St. Lukes different floors to get all things done so we won't be needing back and forth from time to time at USEM.)

    1. GIVING NUMBER. Fell in line to window _ , they asked 2 sets of ds 156, 2 sets ds 157, and appointment letter.(Since I am K3, i didn't have the DS156k, for K1 you will be asked for this). After the woman check mine, she gave me number, this number was important so don't lose it. I then took sit again at waiting area.

2.FINGER SCANNING. From the window where I gave my DS forms and appointment letter, its here where we will hear if our names will be called already for Finger scanning. When i heard my name i went to window _ for Finger scanning.(if your palms perspiring just make sure you dry it before you put it in the finger scanning machine, don't worry also, there's staff here that will assist you and hold your fingers for the scanning.) After finger scanning, i then took a sit again at waiting area.

    3. PRE-SCREENING. My number flashed at the board and the window where i will go. I then proceed to window _ for pre-screening of my docs. Here, the guy only asked to give him first: NSO Birth Certificate, NSO Marriage Certificate and NBI.

After he checked what i gave him, he then second asked me again to give him the following; Affidavit of Support (134) W2s, and Tax Transcripts. ( i gave him 2005,2006,2007 W2s and 2005,2006,2007 tax transcripts, Affidavit of Support and Employment letters.) After he checked it, he gave back the employment letters to me.

    * with pre-screening here i was asked, (my pre-screener was a handsome gay and he seemed nice)

    -who is your petitioner

    -when is his birthday

    -what's his work

    -how i met my husband

-when i first met my husband in person

-how long he stayed in Philippines

-what date exactly he got here in Philippines

    -when did we get married

-how long my husband stayed in Philippines

    -were you married before

    -were your husband married before

    -do you have kids

    -does your husband has kids

The third he asked me to give him were pictures. I gave him pictures, of me and my husband with my family and with his family. The pre-screener then asked "Is your husband a muslim?", i answered "No, he is not, he is american.", by flipping the pics, He also commented , "he is still young and handsome like you, you two are meant for each other." I said "thank you sir", and then he asked me , "have you experience to travel abroad or international flights", i answered "No, not yet Sir."and then he gave me some advises about nothing to worry about , it's important that i get a good sit at plane so i will be comfortable with the flight. I said "thank you sir for that tips". Once again he looked at our pics, and then i asked him, "do you need anything or any proofs Sir?" and he said , "No, this is enough already" , "Ok, you can go back to your seat and wait again for your number to be called. Thank you", I answered "ok sir, Thank you po."

At the waiting area, i sighed and i felt something a bit upset because they never looked at my evidences, i brought so much of our proofs and evidences that weighs almost 7 kilos, geez! until now i have back pain for carrying this.613970ys7jg1sagg.gif

4.CONSUL INTERVIEW. I couldn't say i have had a friendly consul, unlike others had. What i had was a tall American woman with i think in her 30's with very short hair. I greeted her "Good Afternoon", she didn't greeted me back though, she just said "have a seat." She asked me the same questions what my pre-screener asked me. Plus she asked me some additional questions. She even told me "i think you need to be grilled", then she smiled. She also gave some comments, "So you were 23 or 24 when you met your husband". i answered her, "i am 23 when i met my husband." She asked me, "what did you like most about him?", I answered, "He is so thoughtful, no matter how busy he was he always finds time to give time to me even when he was still in Afghanistan. " She then uttered, "oh he is a Military" , i said "Yes Ma'am".

Then once more he flipped our pictures, and she said "i think everything is all fine."

Then she explained brief about the document verification. She asked me if i paid for it, i said yes i did. And she said, The USEM requires document verification so to make sure there are no fake marriages or no fake identities to all applicants. She then said "Ok, i think everything is okay now. You will need to wait for your name to be called once again for one last time." And i said "thank you Ma'am", and she said "thank you"

I then took a sit again at waiting area. After few minutes my name has been called, i went to window_ and the girl gave me back the appointment letter plus the instruction to pay the Delbros visa delivery.

    5. DELBROS Visa delivery payment. They gave me form to fill up for visa delivery and i paid P400 for delivery fee, i put my address in Bataan is why P400, if only Manila area it's only P250. (I saw some someone from Cebu she paid more than P500.)

Finished before 12pm. And was so tired and exhausted because of too much pressure the past few days. The first days of my mens period came the morning of my interview, because of the nervousness i felt i think. haha.

At 5pm i met Relyn at MOA and check the possible place for Eyeball meeting. Will be posting about the infos at the eyeball thread.

    Thanks everyone.

  10. Hello! Question lang po? Is it really advisable to go to SLEC in the afternoon for the medical examination? If so, why?....

Hi guys I had my medical yesterday and it took me almost 12 hours to finish everything (8AM til 7:40PM). There are alot of people...lots of waiting, sitting, standing and almost fall asleep while in 5th floor for my Physical Exam. Should have gone there in the afternoon instead. And to make this perfect day :( even better I was asked to come back next week, May 7, for my vaccination and tests result. Maybe because they want to give way to people who will gonna have their interview sooner than mine.
  11. no, i havent called the call center. heard the news from my wife who called the visa center and checked the website of the US Embassy here...that's how I got word of the schedules...

How's that, should I call the embassy? Coz until now, April 20, i still have not received the packet that is supposed to tell me of the schedules and the necessary requirements still needed...

    Thanks again in advance...

Ganun ba? I have not received one yet. How do i get one? Do i call or send an email? Please help in providing details for this, medical is just around the corner and want to have everything ready way ahead of time....

Anyways, yesterday, I paid for the document verification fee required when i downloaded the requirements posted on the site of the US Embassy....just sharing din...

Thanks, as always, you guys are very helpful....

the confirmation email should have been emailed right after you called the call center to set up interview schedule. wala ba any confirmation email ipinadala yong visa information team (the call center)? kasi they will ask what the email address of the visa applicant (beneficiary) is tapos email agad nila ang confirmation ng interview schedule, yon na ung parang appointment letter natin for SLEC and also USEM.

note: medical schedule will not be indicated in the confirmation email from visa information team since they will just advise you to go at least 1week before interview date but once you have your interview schedule, you can just go for medical anytime actually (MON-FRI, except holidays).

  12. Is there supposed to be an email from the Embassy? I only have our online appointment schedules from the system of the US Embassy...

You are supposed to receive a confirmation email from the call center.....

This is what you should print out (so much better if accompanied with the online appointment print out) and show at the embassy during your interview....

Bringing appointment letter for the medical is just a nice option now (for peace of mind). There were a few who had medical this week and last week who said they were not asked to present appointment letter at SLEC anymore.

I hope you would have everything you would need in order soonest.

I wish you the best.

  13. Thanks for the advise Riza!

Have another question though....I know that we have to bring our appointment letter to SLEC (along with the other requirements), however, I have not received my packet from the USEM...how's that? Can the early medical be done without this?

    Thanks again in advance...

You are very much welcome. Print the email from the Embassy that confirms your interview sched. Also print your appointment online: http://203.177.135.10/ivappointment/login.asp . I just checked ours and it's already in their system. Either of the docs you can bring and present to St. Luke's. Much better kung ang dalawang docs ang pakita mo :D

    -Riza

Is there supposed to be an email from the Embassy? I only have our online appointment schedules from the system of the US Embassy...

  14. Hi guys (and gals)!

I plan to have my medical exam taken on the 5th of May. The schedule given by the US Embassy is on the same date as that of my interview (May 16), will that be ok? I heard that even with the same date schedule, I can have the examination done at least a week before the interview...

    Any comments on this? :help:

    Thanks...

Standard schedule of medical exam from USEM is one week before the interview. Others have their medical exam one month before. May 5 for you is very much ok. Good luck on your med exam

    Thanks for the advise Riza!

  16. Hi people,

My interview is on May 16, guess I can be included in group's list...

Just a question though: :help: I have not received my packet but the US Embassy in Manila's website indicates that the interview schedule is set on the date mentioned above, at 8:30am. On the website, it also specifies that the medical exam schedule is also on the same date, May 16 at 12:00am...hellow!!!! that's 12 midnight!!!! :wow: Is this the same case as those with IR cases? Can anyone help in clarifying this? Should this really be followed?

Thanks in advance and good luck to all those having their medical exams and interviews the coming weeks!

  17. Question:

I checked online, throught he US Embassy website in Manila, the appointment schedule for my interview. It also indicated the medical examination schedule.

I am confused because the schedule of the interview is on May 16, 2008, 8:30am and the medical exam schedule indicated is on May 16, 2008, 12:00am. Is this how it works? :help: Is the clinic open at this time?

Anyone please, enlighten me on this...

Can the medical be done earlier than the specified date indicated online. FYI, I havent received my packet yet. We just learned about the schedules online.

    Kenneth and Joyce

  18. thanks guys! we're really trying to be patient...but, i guess its human nature to be more anxious whenever everything is nearing its completeness...

hope we get our schedule at the soonest possible time. guess march nvc completed cases gets to be interviewed on May....hope to be part of that group...

thanks again and good luck to all...

    Kenneth and Joyce

  19. Geeessshhhhh! Does it really take that long to have the interview scheduled?

March NVC completed cases gets to be interviewed on May? Whew!!!

Anyways, congrats to all those who have received dates of interviews....

As for us, we are still waiting....got our case completed March 7 and no word until now...but we keep on calling to follow up

Please help in praying for the faster processing of all us applicants. The nearer everything is to completion, the more anxious everyone is...

Well, hope we get our schedule at the soonest possible time...
