  1. Hi! I got married in July in NJ (moved from Canada) with the K1 Fiance Visa and applied for my PR, Travel Visa, and Work Permit all at once about a month after my marriage. I do not have an SSN yet, as my lawyer recommended I wait until I have my work authorization before applying. However, since then, I have had two K1 Visa friends (one from the UK and one from NZ), who both got married and applied AFTER me, receive their travel and work permits. I still have not. I believe they both applied for their SSNs prior to their approvals. My question is...is it possible that not having a SSN before applying for these visas is slowing my approval down?
