  1. Hi guys!

I just had my interview today. I everything went smoothly until the consular started reviewing our documents. We missed one part on the i-134, but apart from that he said everything looks fine and he doesn't see any problem. However, he returned my passport and gave me a 221-g slip that has instructions for us to send back my passport and a fully completed i-134 form. So as soon as I got out of the embassy, me and my fiance were Facetiming and we had the documents express mailed back to the US embassy on the same day.

I wonder if anyone has had the same experience and if so, how long did it take for the embassy to process your documents?

  2. Just got an interview at Dublin Embassy. We initially sent in our Notice of Readiness last Monday as soon as we got info from the medical center that my results are ready. Was given an interview date on Thursday last week but could not make it, so we sent another one last Friday (when I had the results on hand) and was told that the next available appointment was not until May. Was a bit disappointed that we weren't told about this beforehand, had we known we would have pushed to get everything ready last week. But all in God's time.

    Our case is now Ready.

"Your case is ready for you to schedule an interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal." To my understanding, I'm waiting for a packet to fill out and then send back before I can schedule an interview, correct?

Your embassy should send you a packet with instructions for all the things you need to accomplish for the interview, and submit some of them before you/they can schedule your interview.

  4. Send a public inquiry according to the pdf guide posted at the top of this thread. If you ask them if it's possible to give you the case number before it is forwarded to the embassy.

I was also getting a generic response and it is frustrating. I've been sending an inquiry every week after day 30, and one time I sent one on 2 consecutive days. One IO sent in the case # then I got another reply after a few hours with the generic response. I guess it will all boil down on which IO reads your inquiry. But be patient.

How long ago in the process did you send an inquiry? I sent one earlier on and got the same generic response you did but then I sent a 2nd one which was around the 44 day mark and they replied with my case #. I then received the official letter with case # a few days after that.

Try sending another inquiry. For our case, I started sending one at 30 days according to the format that the moderators made from this website. We got a case number after about 40+ days then our case was sent the following week.

    how do you do that?

    You head on to https://mydhl.express.dhl/ie/en/tracking.html#/track-by-reference

Enter the reference number on the day that you think your case was transferred.

Example 02 March 2023, so you put it like: EXP 02 MAR 2023A

Then you change the date range from the days you think your case was shipped, then choose the country where your case is being sent to.

All these are included in the PDF attached on the very first comment of this thread. :)
