    I'm from a country friendly to the United States,I was very very lucky and only waited 13 months. The data I saw before was that the wait was eight to nine hundred days. After I received my green card through an interview at the end of May, no one here seemed to have received an interview letter. Look now The number of people who pass the EB category at the Montreal Consulate every month is only one-tenth of the previous number, and there is no sign of improvement at all. I would also suggest that if there is a choice, it would be a better idea to choose other consulates for interviews.

    We entered the United States from Quebec to activate our green cards. There were three of us, but only my son's photo was taken. We and my wife were not taken, and all three of us did not have our fingerprints taken. I asked the officer at that time if I needed to take fingerprints? He smiled and said, do you want to take fingerprints? I'll record it for you. I smiled and said, no need. Later, we received our green cards smoothly. Just for your reference, wish you good luck

    My DQ day is February 2022, I waited for thirteen months to receive the interview letter, interview in June 2023, EB3

    1. Yes, you can change the mailing address of the green card during the interview. My interviewer asked me if I need to change it. Or you can also request to change the address when POE activates your immigrant visa. 2. You can show your old passport when submitting documents, tell the officials that your old passport has your US visa on it, and see if they need it

    The visa + CBP entry stamp serves as the temporary green card, which is equivalent to a plastic green card for all legal purposes, including travel. This note will be printed on the visa itself -- "UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR." In case it's not clear, I-551 = green card, and endorsement = CBP entry stamp.
