I wish that was an option, I need my husband to go back together to help with the baby. Now I'm a bit worried that I'm in a sticky situation. Is it possible he can be denied because I as the primary sponsor don't have money coming in yet? We already have a joint sponsor as extra precaution.

Thank you! My spouses income will stop once he move to the USA, so I'll leave him out.

Okay, would that mean that I check the unemployed box instead? also should he still bring my employment contract to his interview to show I have income coming soon?

Hi everyone. I’m filling out the affidavit of support and I have 3 questions regarding Part 6. 1. I was just currently employed, but I have not been paid yet as my start date is in a couple of weeks. Where it ask about my income and position do I input what is on my offer letter and contract even though I haven’t received any money yet? 2. it says “income you are using from any other person who was counted in your household size” would I add my partners income when he is the beneficiary? Technically he is a part of my household, but I’m not sure if I leave his income out or not. 3. Will they be going based off of what I'm earning in the future? Or what I have earned in the past? I didn't work for a couple of years due to having a baby so I didn't have to file taxes, I'm not sure if this will mess things up or not? I'm using a joint sponsor, but I just wanted to ask for caution. TIA!

She currently lives alone. so on the form would that mean it would only be her and my partner?

Hi everyone, I am using my mom as a joint sponsor but I am having some trouble calculating her household size for the income requirement. I lived with my mom for half the year last year before I moved to the UK and so she claimed me on her 2022 taxes. Because she has done this does this mean I am considered apart of her household when determining the income level?

I'm not sure why we have to wait 12 weeks, I did DCF under exceptional circumstances. When we had the interview in London, the agent informed me that I should be contacted after 12 weeks to book my husband’s interview. It's going to be 12 weeks soon so just wanted to know, what sort of documents will be required for his interview so we can start preparing and getting things together. Also, wanted to know if it'll be OK to go ahead and do the police report in advance as I heard it may a while to complete?

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could help us understand what the next steps are after filing the petition through the consular? The I-130 was approved on the spot after the interview and I was told to wait 12 weeks. We just don’t know what to do next. What paper work should we be getting together? Is my husband able to do the medical exam now or do we have to wait until we are contacted? Also, can he start getting his police report now as well?

Thank you! I think that was scaring me off from the dcf choice. One last question, do you think I should tell them it’s a family members business or should I keep that information to myself. It’s a small business but they started it about a year ago.

That’s great thank you! Does that generally mean I should have the employment contract as well as my employment letter to show proof?

You don’t think they will deny us based on a job offer from a family member? I don’t want it to ruin our chances for him to immigrate to the states.
