  1. You will get a two year extension on GC when you apply for N-400, starting Dec. No need to go for GC again if you plan to be citizen.
  2. Dont worry, your ticket is so new you can find the info easily. Try https://azmvdnow.gov/home first and see if they have any notation on the ticket. Next, go to your bank statements or credit card statements and pull out your info. If you remember which school you went to, go to the place and ask them for a receipt or a record. if its online, then you will have some info on the emails.... Edit: You say you paid, probably with a check, in that case check your bank statements.
  3. sorry I misread your post and thought you had documentation. When was this ticket from? Most states let you pull the MVR record (motor vehicle record) and if the ticket is recent you shoudl see it in there. If the ticket is from out of state, contact that state DMV to get the details. if its the state you are living in, then the mvr should have it. I live in AZ and they only go past 10 years My ticket was from CA and it was from almost 19 yrs ago..so I had no documentation, not even a credit card statement or bank statement or anything at all. Hopefully you can dig anything from DMV or your personal bank statements. Not the end of the world if you dont have it.
  4. Most are not convinced that an ordinary speeding ticket should be on the N-400 and the jury is still out if it belongs in there. I had a ticket from 2003 and had no documentation and I put in that info. You have the documentation and you did not. I have read a ton and most times the IO officer asks and you can just say I had a ticket and is taken care off and you hand him over the documentation if he asks. Most say speeding tickets over 500$ or reckless driving might be questioned. IT IS BEST TO BE UPFRONT WITH THE OFFICER AND TELL HIM ABOUT THE TICEKT, proves moral character.
  5. I am 9 years into GC, applied n400 in oct, my wife got her naturalization in November, under three months of n400 app from Phoenix FO.
  6. For some emails come early and for some late. I am from Phoenix and have my interview in 24th. btw there will not be an email for interview scheduled, just watch for mail or online account after 50 days of application . Phoenix FO is faster for Sue.
  7. my wife’s appointment took more than 1:30 but the actual interview was only 10 mins and they printed out the oath letter and handed it to her. She waited inside the lobby in a big hall until they called her..
  8. We are from Phoenix, and I have my interview on 24th. My wife had are interview on Nov 11th and oath on Nov 14th. I have researched and found that they havent done same day oath ever. I would prepare to stay 2 to 5 days after interview.
  9. If you ever claim as a citizen and hope you never did, LPR is not a citizenship and have serious repercussions if you claim.
  10. Here in PHX FO, the letter says no one is allowed, but the guard did let all the family members in so they can soak up the ceremony. As always depends on the FO policies.
  11. Well AZ DMV trip was a big waste. They only retain 10 years of record and not the whole history. CA DMV is useless, Court clerk couldnt find the details and said its archived and CA DMV might have it, AZ DMV has records only for the past 10 years. So at this point, I will have nothing to prove it and hope the IO can take my word for it.
  12. I have time and I would rather give it a try and then sit back and hope for the best. I hope AZ has the information of my ticket from CA, as CA was useless in helping me with ticket details.
  13. Thank you and I guess I am going to visit DMV soon. I had already disclosed on the N-400 and could not find any information from the courts clerk (called him earlier). Sent an email to the clerk as well and did a name search on the courts site and nothing showed up.
  14. How did you pull all your driving record? AZ only gives me the record for the last 10 years and the ticket was in 19 years ago.
  15. Correct, pulled form AZ and I live in AZ since before the ticket. AZ only goes back to 10 years max and the record is clean.
  16. I got the ticket in CA, but I live in AZ. I will pay to get the driver record from AZ now. I had put in the ticket information in the N-400 and it shows up online under documents tab as N400-additional reponse.pdf. I wrote to CA DMV and was ignored. I will chase them after new years to see if I can get any traction. Paid to courts' site and did not get any information and also called the courts and they looked up info and said they do not have it in active or archived data either. EDIT: Pulled 10 year extended DL record and nothing is listed as this ticket happened in 2002-2003 time frame. I will have to figure out how I can get the DL record from CA as that is where my ticket is from.
  17. This is what I am afraid off.. cant get details and didnt want to omit it on the application either...
  18. Check online, under documents tab to see if the letter is generated with interview date/time and location.
  19. I got a ticket in 2002/2003 (12 miles over the limit) and cant remember when it exactly happened (date/year). Paid the ticket fine, around 130$ and did not keep any records. Called the court to find out if they have any information and they do not have it. They suggested me to call the DMV and did not get anywhere from DMV. Entered this in the citation part of the N-400 application and wondering how this will go during my interview next month. Any tips?
  20. You should be able to see this letter on uscis online account
  21. I have been on GC since 2013, EB category. Spouse applied for GC on Aug 17th (+5 years of GC) , Phoenix FO and got her naturalization done under 3 months, in Nov. I applied in Oct and interview scheduled for Jan 24th, GC on EB, 5yrs + category.
  22. Your ceremony seemed rushed. I went to my wifes oath ceremony and it was elaborate. A lot of explanation by the supervisor, oath, star spangled banner, pledge of allegiance, welcome immigrants video, welcome speech by mr.Biden and then explanation of what to do after citizenship by supervisor. This was in Phoenix FO.
  23. You are jumping ahead of the process. You apply, the ask for fingerprints or reuse, then background check, then interview. Once they are all passed, that is when the IO will determine if they can approve or ask for more info or deny. They just do not approve or deny based on the app you submitted. BTW when did you apply? it takes 3 to 7 months for the process, that is most aggressive timeline and 90% of them fall in this timeline. Good luck with your app.
  24. If they have your updated fingerprints, then they do not need any. It's another step that shaves some time off with the application process. This has nothing to do with approval process, just a step before doing background.
