  1. I guess yeah. My ceac was updating constantly and its was freaking me out lol. Dont know what it really means, especially considering the fact that I was actually approved at the interview and was not given a 221g or anything instead just thrown into some standard AP the next day.
  2. Oh thats good really happy for your man. I also wanted to ask did u paid the USCIS immigration fee on the day you received the passport with the visa packet and everything or how long before we are suppose to travel US?
  3. Another thing I wanted to ask is what does this email means. I inquired about my case 2 weeks ago and they replied me with the following. I should just wait I guess right coz my case is still in AP I believe? My CEAC says "refused". "Thank you for your inquiry. We acknowledge receipt of your e-mail and the additional documents you have provided. This case is currently pending to be reviewed by a consular officer. As soon as the review is complete, the Visa Unit will advise of the next steps if anything else is needed to complete processing the case. We realize that these extended time periods cause frustration to many individuals, and we are sensitive to the fact that the purpose of the immigrant visa program is to facilitate legitimate travel to the U.S. Nonetheless, the Consulate in Montreal, like all U.S. Embassies and Consulates, must adjudicate visas in accordance with the provisions of the law, and, in some cases, this involves extensive consular review and administrative processing. While we cannot predict when the processing of your visa will be completed, please be assured that the Consulate and the Department of State are aware of your concerns and will contact you as soon as the processing is complete. We hope that this information is helpful in replying to your inquiry. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance."
  4. Hello Guys so I just received a reply from the montreal consulate after I emailed them to inquire about my case. I know its a very generic reply but this is what I received. “We acknowledge receipt of your e-mail and the additional documents you have provided. 5. I see but again why is it taking this long? I also answered everything truthfully. All my records are clean and everything. The CO was satisfied and recommended me for the visa on the spot. During these 4 weeks my CEAC updated twice but the status remained refused.
  6. Hello everyone. Not sure if I am at the right place but just needed some suggestions. I had my interview for ir1 at the montreal embassy on the 7th November 2022. I was approved and everything. The CO told me everything is good and told me that he will recommend me for the visa, kept my passport and told me I should receive my passport with the visa and everything within 2-3 weeks. The next day I checked my CEAC status it showed "REFUSED". I was not given 221g or anything. The CO kept my passport along with the police certificate. Its been 4 weeks and the status still shows "REFUSED". Is it normal? I haven't received any email or anything. I am a Pakistani living in Canada on a worker status.
