  1. Hello to all, we are helping our friends with their k1 AOS package.

It's been 2 weeks and we haven't heard so I re-read the instructions and found out that we sent the package to Dallas Lockbox instead of Chicago.

Who else have had this error?

I know that it's either they will forward it to the right address or send it back.

But I want to know from someone who had the same experience if how long did it took for them to get their noa.

    Thank you so much!!

    tnx

Finally I got my GC, I waited for more than a month!

    Here's a bit of history:

Got approved March 30 and received my welcome letter april 3.

    started waiting for my gc...

called the hotline and complained that my gc hasn't arrived a month after I got my welcome letter.

Received an email from USCIS telling me that the post office returned the gc and they will send it back to the address they have on file.

What surprised me is that now I got my gc..it is the same address on the other letter they sent me.

    So who's fault is it?

Well... I'm just relieved that finally I got my gc and will start doing some changes with my ssn, will apply for a state ID..etc.

    Thanks VJ for the help..

...2 yrs and will do removal of conditions..

Who cares about fault... you have your GC!!!! Congrats!!!! Now get to work. :)

    haha yup ur right

  5. I received an email from USCIS regarding my inquiry about my GC...

They mailed my GC March 30 and the post office send it back to them..WHAT!!!!

I've been checking my mails everyday and even waiting for the mailman to come and that's what happened???

I just can't understand why the postoffice return it? I've received my Welcome letter but not my GC??

is there any vjers with the same experience?

And as their courtesy, they will mail it back ...

I hope the mailman will deliver it in my mailbox!

  6. Had our interview today. We were verbally approved!! The interviewer asked to see our Id's, birth certs, and marriage cert. Wanted to see my 2008 W2's. Showed her our photo album. She meticulously examined the photos.

She asked how we met and about our families. Pretty painless actually. Just waiting for the GC in next few weeks.

Did not stamp passport, but did take I-94 and EAD.

same here..didn't stamp my passport or give a paper stating that i will be getting my greencard.

and i'm still waiting for the uscis email for my approval.

    is there website still down??

  7. I passed my AOS interview earlier today. The interview was somewhat brief lasting a mere 10 minutes. The officer asked to see our ID's

passports, my husbands drivers license and bcs. He also asked for our 9 month old son's bc. His questions were brief and consisted of when was my date of arrival in the U.S. and if I had left the country since then. If this was our first marriage, if our son was our first child, if I had goals of working. We updated him that we have moved to a new address which he didn't question, we showed him our new lease. He asked for our 2008 tax return. He asked what my phone number was. He asked typical Homeland Security questions i.e. am I a terrorist, have I been arrested etc...

He then asked where my husband worked and he and my husband began discussing the global economic meltdown which he professed, he was still trying to understand. My husband was giving him some of his insights so they were back and forth on that. Finally he asked if we had any more questions where my husband asked if I could leave the U.S. w/ the green card which he replied yes. He asked again if we had any more questions and I asked, am I approved? which he replied yes:) He said our son was the one who made the approval easy. He was very friendly and smiling. At first he seemed stoic and firm but towards the middle of our interview which again was 10 minutes, he was very congenial. All in all a very satisfying and welcoming interview.

Hi! First of all Congratulations! I have a question. Did you apply for EAD and AP? I just noticed in your timeline that you do not have both before the interview? Your reply will be highly appreciated.

i didn't apply of EAD and AP as I don't have plan to work till I get my greencard..it's free and included in the application but it will still be useless if you don't want to work or leave the country before you get your AOS approved.
