  1. I appreciate the quick response. It's not quite clear to me what you mean. Both locations are on the certificate. The certificate is signed by Utah County Clerk in Provo, Utah. (County of Utah in big letters at the top.) But the statement from the Officiant includes Salt Lake City: "I hereby certify that on the xx of xx in the year of xx in the city of Salt Lake City in said county of Salt Lake, I, the undersigned, did join in matrimony..."
  2. The license is through Provo, Utah County. But the officiant is located in Salt Lake City, which is where the call took place.
  3. Do you happen to know how to fill out the marriage location on the i-130 form. My spouse and I recently got married (physically together) outside of the US via Utah Zoom. I imagine I would fill in Salt Lake City, Utah, as it appears on our marriage license. But I am not able to find confirmation anywhere.
  4. I thought I had read that here. I must have misunderstood. Thank you for the clarification. Time to hit the books.
  5. Hi, there, and thanks in advance for any help! I was originally planning on beginning the K-1 process for my fiancée. However, after reading experiences and advice around here, it seems the CR-1 might be the better route for us. I'll be traveling to Brazil again in February for a few months, and provided that we do decide on the CR-1 route, we do intend to marry there. Hoping to hear from anyone who (or whose partner) has gone through the CR-1 process from Brazil, in case there might be anything out of the ordinary that I might be missing. Any tips regarding the marriage certificate would also be appreciated. If I understand right, I would want to send the I-130 application as soon as returning from Brazil, as seen on the Assembling the I-130 Package: Checklist.
