    I live in California and trying to go through process of medi-cal for my mom. Did you get it done? The process is so confusing. Where do you live?

      The office depends on the county you live in. I think you will be in Contra Costa. So, google for the local offices for Contra Costa. I submitted my Social Security Card and Green Card of my parents. You can go to the office and apply for her. There is a form in the packet that lets you proxy for her. Hope this helps. Good luck!.

      Yes, that's the way to do it. Just her information as her own independent household. And you won't be claiming her as a dependent on your tax forms. Please go to the social security services office. That will be the easiest and most correct way of doing it. So, you will have peace of mind.

      I live in Fremont, CA. Yes, I was able to get Medi-Cal cards yet to sign up for a medical plan. I went to the nearest Social Services office and had them file the paperwork after giving them my parents information. It was very straight forward. Hope this helps.
