    I live in California and trying to go through process of medi-cal for my mom. Did you get it done? The process is so confusing. Where do you live?

      Yes, that's the way to do it. Just her information as her own independent household. And you won't be claiming her as a dependent on your tax forms. Please go to the social security services office. That will be the easiest and most correct way of doing it. So, you will have peace of mind.
