  1. Okay updates!!! My husband was approved for his green card this morning!! We’re so happy and literally couldn’t have made it without this community so thank you everyone. I uploaded my new I-864 and all my 2022 tax documents (federal tax return and all my W2s and 1099s) to the CEAC website last night in a panic and my husband had all of these documents printed to bring in to the interview. When he got to the booth where they ask for documents, they asked for his birth certificate, police certificates, and my W2. He asked if they also needed my I-864 and the office said no, she could see my I-864 in the system, but wanted to see the W2. I’m not sure what that indicates since I had uploaded everything, but maybe she was just saying that to verify? Not sure. But he provided my W2 and all was good. For reference, we were DQd Jan 27th and got our IL April 13th. His status still just says “Appointment”, but when the office told my husband he was approved, he said the system was down, but he would approve him later this afternoon. I hope that doesn’t mean there will be a delay in getting his passport back, but we’ll see. thank you again to everyone!!!
  2. Hmm I don’t think so? Here’s exactly what my paralegal said: “2022 Taxes are mandatory for anyone who is not documentary qualified. For anyone who is still pending documents to upload or is about to apply for residency as of April 18, 2023 the 2022 Tax Returns became mandatory. You became documentary qualified before April 2022*. As such you can physically take the documents to the interview. They do not need to be uploaded to CEAC” *we were DQd Jan 27th They are a really great law firm and we’ve worked with wonderful paralegals there, but information changes very often, so i don’t want to pass this along as if it’s absolute truth. But hopefully this helps!
  3. Thank you!!! Just uploaded and submitted! I did talk to our lawyer again and she said it’s only mandatory if we hadn’t been DQd before April, but….. I submitted it anyway. So thank you!
  4. Oh my gosh thank you SO MUCH! You are a godsend! I feel stupid for not knowing this, but like I said, our lawyer said it was fine if we just bring the physical copies in. just to clarify (again, I know this is dumb), but I should upload this to the same website we uploaded all of documents to be DQd? CEAC.state.gov ? again, thank you!
  5. My husband’s interview is also next week! Do we have to upload additional/updated documents to CEAC? Our lawyer said we didn’t have to, but honestly I trust this forum more. We have an updated I-864 for me (I moved and got a new job) and my 2022 tax returns. Should I upload those?
  6. Hello! I feel like I've seen someone mention before that there's a checklist compiled somewhere on VJ of documents you need to bring to your interview. Could someone point me in that direction? Thank you!
  7. Hi friends! I'm registering my husband's visa appointment on the website and I'm at the part where it asks where we want his passport couriered after visa processing. Does it make a difference if we have it couriered to one of the addresses listed or have it couriered straight to our apartment? And also, for the Toronto applicants, is one of these addresses better than the others? It looks like they're all just addresses for random buildings. Thanks for your help!
  8. Ah got it! As long as everything goes well at the interview, my husband plans to immediately move to the US so hopefully we'll be okay. But yes... nothing is predictable in this process. Thank you all!
  9. I think I saw someone else ask a very similar question, but now I can't find it. My husband's interview is scheduled for June 26th. He got a doctors appt for April 25th. Is this too far in advance? We saw other people saying there was a huge wait so when he saw the April 25th date, he booked it, but now we're worried it might not be close enough to the actual interview. Thanks for your help and sorry if this is a repeat question!
  10. Hi all! So we just got our interview date and I'm trying to plan out our move afterwards (knock on wood everything goes well at the interview) and while I know the estimate the embassy gives is two weeks before we receive his passport, is that actually typical? I've seen some people say they got it three days later, but I'm wondering if that's common?
  11. We also have a June 26th interview! We were DQ'ed Jan 27th, 2023.
  12. My husband is from Istanbul and he's immigrating to the US on an IR1/CR1 visa. He submitted a Nufus Kayit Ornegi, but specifically with the chart that lists all his family members in addition to his own information. We made a mistake initially and didn't include the chart and caused us delays.
  13. That's what I was thinking as well. I'm just hoping we'll still be scheduled in May and not pushed back to June. Fingers freaking crossed.
  14. Hi everyone, Does the embassy only send ILs once per month? Like around the 15th? That's just kind of what I've been noticing and wondering if that's real. We were DQ'd Jan 27th and noticed that other people who were DQ'd Jan 11th got their IL March 16th. I was hoping that we might get our IL last week or this week since that would seem chronological, but now I'm wondering if we won't hear until April 15th. Thanks for all your help!
  15. Just to carry on the timeline - we were DQ'd Jan 27th, but have not received an IL yet. Hopefully, we'll be in the next batch! Congratulations to all who received their IL last night!
  16. Ah sorry, I'm not sure. My husband is living in Canada right now so he'll be going to the Montreal embassy when his interview is eventually scheduled. But congratulations on your DQ!
  17. Yes! It turns out his birth certificate was correct, but we didn't upload the paper with the chart listing his family members which is what they were specifically looking for. And the Turkish police certificate was correct, but his Canadian police certificate was incorrect - they didn't take his fingerprints at the police station (which was frustrating because they specifically told him they were doing what they needed to do for a US green card, but they were obviously misinformed) so it wasn't the right document. But we got it corrected and we were DQ'd at the end of January. Hopefully we'll receive our IL soon. Thanks for checking!
  18. Yes, absolutely! And coincidentally, I also have family living in Corvallis, OR. Such a small world! Please feel free to reach out if you ever need anything - if we can help, we will!
  19. Okay, we WERE able to get the Düsüceler by following your steps so thank you! But we were DQ'd today by the NVC and we had submitted a nufus kayik ornegi that my husband received from the municipality in Turkey that did not have the Düsünceler table included. So I think as long as his family members are on there, it should be fine. Thank you for all your help!
  20. Quick follow up - I went back to the travel.state.gov page to look at the requirements for the birth certificate and this is what it states: Special Seal(s) / Color / Format: Government of Turkey seal in red color placed at right bottom side of the document - white paper with black ink. Signed by preparer and approver. Currently available in A4 sized paper. It is a chart printed in landscape format with the holder’s name, last name, father’s name, mother’s name, PDOB, Marital Status on the first line. The following lines would list holder’s family members and their biographic information written in the next columns in the same order. If it is obtained through e-Government website, the document would have a barcode on upper right instead of red stamp and signatures. It sounds to me like all that's necessary is the top table with the list of the applicant and their parents' biographic information. Or maybe the Düsünceler doesn't show up on my husband's because he and his family were all born in Turkey so their citizenship didn't need to be reported on the document? And no one has a previous marriage? I have no idea honestly. I wish the travel.state.gov included more details about the documents so there wasn't so much confusion. We submitted a NÜFUS KAYIT ÖRNEĞİ to USCIS for my husband's I-130 that was approved in October and it did NOT have the Düsünceler table included. Although, it's definitely possible NVC has different requirements. Thank you for all your help and sorry for my continued confusion.
  21. Sorry if I'm just being dumb now, but I'm still not able to pull a document from e-devlet that includes a table called "Düsüceler". I clicked the options on the drop down menu as instructed (photo below) and the document e-devlet gives me is what you've labeled above as Vukuatsiz (not vukuatli). How do I get the document with the Düsüceler table?
  22. @SBHbb67 does it say "vukatli" anywhere on the document? That's how we got ours, too, and it has the death and marriage information on there, but doesn't specifically say "vukatli".
  23. Yeah I've scoured this page, but can't find anything that specifically points out the document that form I posted is referencing. The attendant at Frontier said that was correct though, so we should hopefully be okay.
  24. We did not get a message saying we were DQ'd, but can I ask how long ago you re-scanned and re-uploaded? We have to get a new police certificate so we're trying to figure out how long this will delay us.
