Should we re-do the 156 and re-send it to them not signed, even though he already sent it signed?
-
So, my fiance mailed packet 3 back to the embassy today with checklist, ds230 (part 1), ds-156, ds-156k, and ds-157. I was looking over the copy he made of the checklist, and I got really confused... It said that the applicant should NOT sign DS-156, HOWEVER this was the electronic form that, on embassy's website, said TO sign. It also said we needed to complete that form in duplicate... does that mean he was supposed to make a copy of it for embassy??? Also, the only form out of all of those that said on the actual form to not sign was the ds-156K... which fiance did not sign. I'm so confused, and scared we messed up. Any advice or personal experience with this would be great.

My fiance also had a ton of trips to the US to write down, so he attached another sheet. He put the actual dates, just because he happened to save all the ticket stubs from the visits... However, I am aware that they say "MM-YYYY" and if you want to you can just print the form out and hand-write the trips out, if the form isn't letting you type in only the months and years. Our form was printed out and hand-written on... so I'm hoping that should be fine.
Good luck!

Hey Guys,
Your thread got me a little confused... I thought we only had to send back DS-230 PART 1, 156, and 156k with checklist back to embassy.

Thank you, as well, melusine.
The government has turned me totally neurotic & paranoid, so any comforting words help!

Hey everyone,
Quick question... My fiance got his packet 3 from embassy while i was visiting him in England (around march 1). I had to take back forms with me to America to figure out some stuff that was over there. Anyways, he's just now sending them back to embassy (ds230, 156, 156K, checklist, etc) filled out. Embassy should get it around march 17/18. Do you think this is too late... will we get pushed aside or looked down upon for not sending forms back IMMEDIATELY? I'm so paranoid!
This waiting part is the hardest!!!!!
Thanks for reading.

Probably not...
I called a visa lawyer, and the lawyer said that it's not a big deal. What matters is when you file for aos. You cannot leave anything out about the benificiary during that step, since they will be the one immigrating here. Other than that, they just use the petitioner's info as a background for an idea of the kind of person they are... do they have constant employment, do they not work a lot, etc.

Thanks. I hope so

Hey guys. Question:
As it's tax time, a thought came up. When listing my job history for the petition, I left out a little part-time job I had for less than a month in summer of 2007. I left it out because I thought I wouldn't be taxed on it cuz it was so little, and I didn't want to get the place in any trouble with the government. Anyways, now that little job called and they want my info so they can send me tax papers...
I'm worried that since I already filed petition in november, will the uscis find out about this "left out" info and deny us because I "lied"?
Please, any info will help...to at least ease my mind.
Thank you!

Congrats!!!!! Maybe soon us...

Sorry to hear about the mishap! But you're totally right, God DOES work in mysterious ways... and He has quite a sense of humor considering this amazing thing we call "long-distance relationships"
Quick question, your earlier reply made me wonder... I just wanted to make sure my immigration lawyer sent our packet to the correct service center. I'm in south Florida, and it was sent to Vermont Service Center.
Thanks for any help! And continued luck to everyone.

It was an accident, I'm new to this site. If you know how I can delete an extra post and you wouldn't mind telling me, I'll gladly remove it. Sorry for the inconvenience I caused you...

Hey guys,
Quick question. I'm relying on a co-sponsor for the I134...I am aware the co-sponsor has to make at least 125% of the poverty guidelines (around 17 or 18k), but does the co-sponsor have to make double that income since he is signing saying he will support my fiance if need be? Or just a little over the required amount...
Please help!
Thank you

Hello All,
I'm new to this site, and am so glad it exists!
I have a concern.
My fiance and I filed for the I129F in nov. 2007. I am concerned about my financial background. I am aware that a co-sponsor can be used, and I do have one, but I am scared that I can still be denied because I did not make a lot of money this year (I was in college), and now only have a part-time job (working 35 hrs a week). I know it would look better to be full-time, however I need a part-time (flexible) label at the job due to my traveling every so often from pursuing a singing career. Any suggestions or info I can use to calm my fears?
Thanks a bunch, and Good Luck to All!
Has anyone ever been denied from this???

Has anyone ever been denied for sending in a form back with packet 3 signed when it's not supposed to be signed? Is it a normal thing, and I'll be fine by just re-sending the form in not signed? Please help, I'm freaking out!!!
