  1. Hi! we are on the final stages of our visa process - woohoo! We have everything completed for direct consular filing in Singapore and went to schedule our final appointment only to find "there are no appointments available" Has anyone else had this happen or have any context as to why they have asked us to schedule and now they aren't taking appointments? Is this happening everywhere?
  2. Thanks for the vote of confidence! A few details on my situation: 1) our company closed local offices and everyone was made redundant on October 31 (we were notified in August) 2) I am applying for jobs in the US and in the last throes of getting my offer finalized 3) My husband's company wants him to relocate to the US in February(ish) but wants him to have a green card first to make it easier for them internally to approve the role Neither of us have the formal offer yet, but it will come fast and furious. I do have my redundancy letter which shows I am currently unemployed (hence the need to go back to the US urgently!) We have lived in Singapore over 5+ years, so the jurisdiction of filing is not an issue. I am just concerned maybe the 'urgency' is not enough. Do I need to wait for an official offer? Should I send my paperwork and details to the embassy here to state my case? Any advice? They seem accommodating, but I am nervous! Thanks for any advice all!
  3. Hi, My husband and I live in Singapore. I recently lost my high paying job and my husband's company is likely relocating him to the US in Jan/Feb 2023. I need to go back to the US to get employment. With these two circumstances, and the fact we have lived overseas in Singapore for approx 5+ years, I would like apply via DCF. Does this sound right to meet the criteria? Has anyone else done this in Singapore and how long does it take, roughly? It would be great to see timelines as we pull all of our docs together. TIA!
