  1. Still in US Hospital marks 2 weeks today. I have never been hospitalized in my life before having medical procedures in the Philippines. I hear Manila has better hospitals, but I don't know for sure. Philippines is fun place to visit, but it's not a place a US Citizens wants to be if they need major medical issue or surgery.
  2. I agree, I find it quit funny and odd people who haven't been to Philippines nor know the system making comments.
  3. Zoom is not a good choice for the Philippines. Having issues now of days getting ROM completed. Also other issues in the future if you go with Utah Zoom Marriage.
  4. I do a couple trips per year to Philippine, I always book in October and March time frame tickets are pretty cheap then. I never book thru a third party site like kayak, etc. I alway book direct with the airlines in case my flight gets delayed or postponed it easy to reschedule, plus I don't see any savings going thru a 3rd party site. Good Luck.....
  5. That is wrong DACA has EAD and Valid SS and they are not eligible to use Healthcare.gov / marketplace
  6. There are a handful of posters who came here on tourist visa, married and stayed and adjusted. I was just reading the tourist visa old threads seems as if the current poster was from Philippines who came on Tourist Visa, and got married in USA and stayed in the USA until she got her greencard. So it does happen.
  7. I know many who never reaquired Philippine Citizenship after naturalizing in the US, this is not a must nor needed. The Philippines only started offering dual citizenship about 15 years ago.
  8. I am not after money, No doubt the settlement would be a joke by US Standards.
  9. The main issue is how long before a court case will get before a judge If it's 10 to 15 years then I am wasting my time. Orthopedic Surgeon make like $45,000 USD per year, so I am not trying to get money, I want justice for a botched surgery.
  10. The bigger question is how long before I could get a court date? Are we talking 10 years or more before the case goes before a judge?
  11. How does the malpractice work in the Philippines? I am a US Citizens and had to have surgery while in Philippines it was emergency, Apparently the surgery was botched it was done 6 month ago. I am in US hospital now getting it corrected. How long does a court case take to get a court date in the Philippines? Since I am an American, would my be thrown out since I am American trying to sue a a person in Philippines? Since I am an American would I be fighting a loosing battle since I am American citizen trying to sue a Filipino Citizens in the Philippines?
  12. She will not be restricted from leaving country if it makes it to her NBI if it's civil. Been there done that as well. Mine was for internet service not paid.
  13. If your wife is living in USA, or you if she has her US Citizenship and you move back to Philippines. , you just have a contract drawn up in the USA, if in case of divorce house/land needs to be sold at xxxxxx amount of money, that solves the US Citizen can't own land roadblock.
  14. There are two kind of cases filed for debt either criminal or civil. These would be civil. Criminal would be for bounced checked, Swindle/Fruad cases. Hold departures don't happen on civil cases.
