Over 8 week wait for SSN

My SAVE case status was updated on Oct. 31 and I called the local SSA to process my application. They told me that they verified the case and could send me my SSN card within two weeks. So you really have to be patient.

Congrats! Hope mine will arrive after two weeks if my timeline is similar to yours.

Hi Timona, thank you for your reply. It's just so frustrating that some of my friends received their SSN cards only after 10 day waiting, even if they applied after me, but mine is pending for 2 months.

Same here. I applied on Aug. 25th but the SAVE case is still under review too. What can we do now?

I'm holding a J1 visa and I applied for SSN on Aug. 25th. Then on Sept. 9th the SSN scanned my passport and other docs and submitted again. I can track my SAVE status online and the status has been "Case Under Review" for more than 40 days. It's so frustrating. I went to the SSA office and they told me there's nothing they can do, nothing I can do except keep waiting. Has anyone encountered similar situations as me? Is there's anything I can do about it? Help, please!
