  1. Weird maybe the rules changed within the last month and a half. In terms of document delivery the embassy uses DHL and Fedex and gives you a tracking number. They don't deliver to your door but they have pre-determined locations in Medellin. One was at San Fernando Plaza, the other was the Fedex in Envigado, I believe on Cra. 43a. The local post office which is called 4-72 has nothing to do with it or much of anything else in Colombia for that matter. We picked my wife's passport up at San Fernando plaza. If you created a biometrics appointment (you wouldn't have had an interview if you didn't) you would have had the option to choose. They also offer "premium delivery" which just is delivery to your door. Personally I think it's better picking up at the location.
  2. Not a similar situation myself however when my wife was interviewing in Bogota we saw maybe 15 to 20 people from the immigrant visa line walk away with the same. If they keep your passport they intend to approve after the paperwork is sent. Now, your county clerk will Fedex documents to Colombia and if not you might be able to convince them to do so if you get them a pre-paid label. I was able to convince my county clerk to do so after they sent through UPS which hands off to Deprisa and Deprisa often doesn't update tracking and it looks lost. In short, you have nothing to worry about and you probably don't need to fly to Nevada. Also, saw your review. Curious as to why they didn't let you in. I went with my wife but instead of husband we said I was petitioner. That might be the secret sauce.
  3. Hello all, We're been DQ'd since late March and today, two weeks before our interview, an email which is signed from the consular section from the local embassy is saying this: Dear applicant, Documents are missing from the files received from the NVC for your case. If you do not present all the required documents on the day of your interview, your visa process will be delayed for at least two months. Pending Documents to scan and upload to the system: Public deed of divorce between X and X All the documents that the interview must carry out are: 1. Civil Birth Registry, with annotation of divorces, in case of having had divorces in Colombia of the Beneficiary. 2. Civil Registry of Marriage, with annotation of divorces, in case of having had divorces in Colombia of the Beneficiary. 3. Divorces, if any, of the Petitioner and the Beneficiary. 4. Certificate of Judicial Background of the beneficiary. 5. Financial Documents: I-864/I-864A/I-864EZ+Form 1040 with W2 or Tax Return Transcript/IRS from the most recent years, consistent with the date the Affidavit of Support was signed, from the petitioner , of the co-guarantor and of the spouse or household member with whom you file taxes. On the day of your interview, either the original or a certified copy of each document must be carried out. Also remember to bring the most recent tax payment from your petitioner and/or additional sponsors. In the attached document you will find specific instructions for each type of document and the information to load the scanned documents in the system. IMPORTANT: Check here some tips to keep in mind to be fully prepared for your interview, which include details of the documents you must present: TIPS for your interview This email is informative, please do not respond to it. We've already submitted a divorce decree but we're not sure if there are missing pages. Our plan is to go check to see if there are missing pages. If there are indeed missing pages, do we get another translation and upload to CEAC even though the case is at the embassy? Will this delay our processing time if we find the issue and fix it? Is there anything I can do to make sure of the situation and fix it as to not cause a delay in the visa processing? Any help, stories, testimonials or "this happened to me and we're fine" is appreciated!

Hello.. No we haven't.. We are waiting for DQ.  We just submitted the DS-260 last Wednesday on the 5th. So it is taking about 12-18 days to get a response back..so hopefully soon. How are you guys doing?

  5. Out of curiosity did you get an interview? If so when were you DQ'd and when did the letter come and when's the interview? Trying to gauge when we're up.
  6. Hello, I live abroad with my wife. I work 100% remote for an American company. I filed the FEIE this year. Employment will continue once I move back however I don't know if I could get a letter to that effect. HR is very protectionist. My assets are well over the minimum requirement for sponsoring. What do I need to do to: 1) Show intent to establish domicile in the US 2) Make sure my income / assets are sufficient for sponsorship Unfortunately, I have a lawyer but the original lawyer I hired who knew about FEIE became a federal judge and transferred the case to someone who's fresh out of law school. Any help would be appreciated!!!!
  7. Hello everyone, We filed an I-130 with the NSC on December 21st, 2021 and VJ says that they're already working on January 2nd! I looked at our case status and it's still not AR. I also don't see a transfer notice so I assumed it hasn't been xfered. How accurate are these times and what can I expect going forward?
