Yup that's it. It will give you an update about your application... If there is any progress about your application, it will indicate it there. So, for now no update for you yet. Try to check it again tomorrow.... Good luck!
When you guys check your status online(those of you who have received a NOA already), does it say something like this?
"During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.
If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition."
My priority date is 01/09/2012 but the status doesn't say anything about biometrics being sent out or anything...
-
I checked my case status online and it says: on Jan. 13, 2012, we send u a letter for bio/fingerprinting.... Blah, blah, blah... So I guess I'm gonna have my biometrics appointment soon....

quick question...as part of the process, i see NOAs all over everyone's post...what is an NOA before fingerprinting and is it something I should be looking out for or is NOA just a notice saying you need to get fingerprints done?
NOA The "NOA" is internet-speak for the I-797 "Notice of Action" -- with "NOA1" being the receipt and "NOA2" being the notice of approval. [Please note that there is the possibility of other I-797's being generated prior to approval notices].

she's is at St lukes in Manila having her physcial we did not receive letter or nothing from Embassy but of course we have NOA 2 and confirmation number for interview they let her in anyway so will this be a problem?
if they let her in, it means she is good to go!
the problem would be: "if they don't let her in" with that confirmation letter alone.

i filed for the fiance visa. my fiance has her interview in a few weeks in manila.. when i visited the philippines we took like maybe only 5 photos. my question is this enough? will there be any problem bcuz i see alot of you guys haveing hundreds of photos.. has anyone ever passed with only 4-5 photos in manila? my god im getting nervous now.. we took them on her phone but i will have them transfered and printed at walgreens. please tell me your personal experiences and give me a peice of mind.

my fiance wants to booked me an airline ticket (for MAY) right away though my interview will be on april 23rd. the reason behind was its cheaper now than if he booked me later.
im just wondering if worst comes to worst can he refund the money or can rebooked me again.
whats advisable pay it cash or credit card?
my fiance wants to booked me via northwest or continental? anyone who has any idea regarding their booking policies.
thank you!!
dont book untill you have visa.....also dont worry about which airline go thru travelocity ot expedia or orbitz unless he has an airline credit card that earns miles,,good luck

more or less $200 deduction for refund or cancellation of ur ticket.

Hi there Sitedirector!
I used a cashiers check too and I called the bank after I received an email confirmation that the USCIS received my application. I just give them the info of the half portion of the cashiers check and the lady in the bank confirmed that my check was cashed... Try to give your bank a call. We don't know maybe they can give you an info bout your check...i
