Setback on my case. My fiancé has to have Sputum test which basically delays us another 3 months. Ughhh. So much waiting. SLEC original exam was Feb 9th and now she got scheduled 3 days testing from March 7-9. Then she was told to wait a month before immunizations. We canceled our interview on March 16th and will reschedule when she is 100% medical cleared.

What is sufficient to meet this requirement for a HK police requirement? - we have ‘NVC welcome letter with fiancé’s name but no request for HK police clearance on that document - we have NOT received the package yet from embassy after ‘case ready’ status. Is the letter we need in this package? - could we send Welcome letter and a printout of embassy requirement to obtain police clearance? What have others used to satisfy this requirement (attached screen print)?

Got my case number from NVC (after inquiry) on Jan 12th. The status is still ‘at NVC’ as of Jan 25th. I thought they shipped every 2 weeks to embassies and was expecting ‘in transit’ this week but nothing so far. Anyone else have experience in ‘how long’ to get to in transit? Also, do you get welcome letter at status ‘in transit’ or at status ‘case ready’?

Singapore Police Clearance Question
Tony and Minche replied to Tony and Minche's topic in Philippines
Great. Thank you. I thought we should be able to do it! We used a firm to help us package everything for USCIS and they did a nice job so we’re just letting them help us over finish line. one follow-up question, technically, my fiancé was physically only in SG just shy of 6 months (like 5 months and 20 days). She had a work visa for 6 months but was only in country consecutive days less than 6 months. Even the work visa was 5 days short of 6 months. So does she technically even need a police clearance from SG? When she went to do the appeal process on SG official site and plugged in her dates, it wouldn’t let h continue because duration was less than 6 months. -
Hi all, I need some help. My Filipina fiance (k1) lived in both Hong Kong and Singapore for 6 months thus requiring police clearance from both countries. Hong Kong is no problem. BUT, we are being told by our visa agency that to request police clearance from Singapore, a request from US embassy is required. This request ONLY comes at interview and we will be in 221 (g) status (incomplete documents) and embassy will give us request letter for Singapore. We then need to submit request and wait 1-2 months more to get the clearance before visa is issued. Anyone with experience here to confirm above? Is there a way to get embassy request letter BEFORE the interview date? I believe it should be possible to initiate SG police clearance request BEFORE interview. We currently have an NVC case number and are waiting for it to be shipped to PH US Embassy. my fiancé got two sets of fingerprints today to use for both HK and SG police clearance requests. Any help is appreciated!

Here’s what I submitted in my NVC inquiry… “I understand that you have received my case from USCIS (received email on Dec 2nd via NVC previous inquiry). USCIS also confirmed they sent approval on Nov 9, 2022. Can you please check if my CASE # has been created and entered into the system? If yes, could you please provide me with the CASE #. Thank you very much for your support and help in this process.”

82 days since NOA2 (Oct 18th) and no case number yet. I feel we’re close. Question to the group - I see expiration date on NOA2 of 17-Feb-2023 (4 months from approval). What happens if no case number by expiration date? Is this expiration date only until case is created? Do I need to worry if interview at Philippines US embassy happens in March after this expiration date?

Update from my recent call to USCIS. They were able to tell me that my petition/NOA2 approval was sent to NVC on Nov 9th (that means it took them 3 weeks to send it to NVC as my NOA2 approval date was Oct 19th). The lady on phone said she wanted to check ‘multiple systems’ before confirming the date to me. She said everything matched as Nov 9th sent date. She was NOT looking at NVC system as she doesn’t have access. I submitted NVC inquiry form today (Nov 29) asking about status. I figure it will take them about 3 weeks till they get to my inquiry which should be close to the 60 day mark from NOA2 approval.

Well, today was the day for us - NOA2 APPROVED (19-Oct-2022)!!! 14 months and 9 days after NOA1 (10-Aug-2021 receipt date). it is a great day as it is also exactly 4 Yeager’s ago today when we first met. I think I knew it was approved about 2 min after it was reviewed. I’ve been checking multiple times per day and the day has finally arrived. Now onto the next step…. Let’s go Aug filers….keep the faith, we’re all soon approved.

Can someone confirm if denied expedite requests slow you down or put you further behind in the queue’s? Aug 10 NOA1 was approved and two expedite attempts both denied with most recent expedite denied on June 2nd, 2022. At this point, we are very close to approval as long as we weren’t put back further in queue???
