  2. Hello SalishSea, if I do that there is no problem in US right? like I have to pay tax or whatever it might arise.
  3. Yeah I am thinking to get transfer done to prepare wedding or any other financial stuffs over there. Wait. if I open account over there and if I transfer from my local bank to US, will it consider income and have to pay tax?
  4. Thanks Jeanne. It is he(me) going to transfer. yeah I will have bank letter if I cash out OR I have IRAS tax statements. I think it is enough? Yeah she is US Citizen. I am going to transfer to her account before I leave. Obviously I won't any bank account over there. it is interesting to open international bank account. let me research more on that. Thanks Jeanne.
  5. Thanks IWander. I heard from somewhere I couldn't remember that it said transferring multiple transactions could raise suspect on avoiding detection ... . That's why I am having stress on that. I don't want to have problems later when I arrive in US.
  6. Thanks Cat. I also notice it is easier but my friend told me that using Wise, it is slightly cheaper than bank wire transfer. That's why I put that as example. So there is no problem at all and it is pretty normal for those who relocate to US with K1? just confirming only for that. Thanks once again.

  9. Hi All, I would like to share about conditions and I would like to know your thoughts on it. I had the interview on Oct 31st. Since our relationship was 20 years ago with old photos, it went pretty well with the Consular. She even told me like "why your gf is worried, in the end it is always approved" But there is one problem, due to my late registered Birth Certificate they need secondary evidence documents for my BC. So they refused my visa with 221g. They told me send those required documents with passport. She again said "you are planning to travel on Dec, it will be ok she guessed if I provide the document in time" but when I returned all the required documents, they replied me this "Your application has been placed under administrative processing. The process could take several weeks to several months to complete. You may wish to retrieve your passport (without visa) from the consular section on Tuesday or Wednesday at 11.00 am. Please bring along a copy of this mail to access the consular section." I understand the AP is black box, I have to wait. But I am having so many thoughts and wondering why they have to reply that email to get back my passport without visa. One of the thing they asked for is "School records", I gave them Matriculation Examination Pass Certificate Bachelor Degree in our Country Advanced Diploma from NCC Education from UK in our Country is it because of those documents, are they taking more time to verify them? Or anything what it could be? I just want to hear from your guys to treat my mind .... Thanks
  10. it is base on your country I think. For me, those were National ID School records Household certificate
  11. I am so happy for you and your fiancee Enjoy those precious moments of joy.......... Because I know how much pain to wait for those moments
  12. Hey Guys, I know you all are waiting for interviews from NOA2 -> NVC -> Embassy Interview. I just would like to share my experience of my interview's required documents to avoid any potential "221g refusal or Administrative processing". If your birth certificate is not late registered, you can ignore this post. Interview is quite ok, the embassy consular is friendly and made me relax about the worries. But my visa was refused with 221g and I have been asked for additional documents (secondary evidence for my birth certificate) because my birth certificate was registered in 2019 which is considered late. Now I am in "administrative processing (refused)" hoping that it wouldn't take so long like others' security checks .... I hope it might be useful for some people ...
  13. Hi everyone! I have been looking for the "next step after NOA2 to NVC" and I am currently viewing the PDF (found it from this first post notes) which is created on 2020 Jun with 19 pages inside. I am wondering the timeline and steps are still the same or any change ?? It seems like we have to just wait the case number or call NVC to ask for the NVC number "That is within 1-2 months"? Thank you.
  14. Thanks for making the information ready for stage by stage. I cried when I found out the case is approved.
  15. Yes Apparently it was in 2015 when my friend successfully brought his fiancé with K1 in only 6 months. He even didn't know about current situation and suggested us. I also started to realize after googling about that K1 visa. Anyway, thanks. All the best
  16. Mingalarbar Thanks for your advice on CR-1/IR-1. I was thinking about that route lately. We are also Burmese therefore it would be easier for the marriage. Initially we chose this K1 due to our friend's suggestion as it would only takes within 6 months lack of current knowledge about processing time.
  17. Thanks so much for the kind answers and sharing... Just having so many thoughts.
  18. Hello everyone! I have been reading information on this site about K1 visa since a few weeks ago. I am a beneficiary and my gf applied the I-129F petition. My nationality is Myanmar (Burma). From the info I found, it will take time about 13.5+ months. I just want to know if the processing time depends upon the nationality of the beneficiary. If yes, how the potential additional time would that be for a Burmese? Thanks to everyone and don't mind me if you might already answered it before.
  19. NOA 1, August 19th 2022! I have been reading this site a few weeks ago after filing I-129F so called K1 visa. I wish good luck to everyone.
