  1. Sorry for the late response. I emailed the US embassy multiple times. They finally replied that they will email the instructions to register to my fiancé. They emailed her later that day with the instructions. We scheduled our interview and finally got our visa. Keep contacting the US embassy until they send you the instructions. One thing we learned in this journey is that instead of waiting like they are telling you, you should keep contacting them (USCIS, NVC, US Embassy, etc.) until they do their jobs.
  2. I think I saw that in one of the threads here too, but I'm not sure what happened after they book their interview. I was hoping that someone who went through that could share with their experience.
  3. Hi All. Our case at NVC shows "Ready", and it says that our case is in the the consular section. We haven't received any letters or emails from the US embassy with instructions to register. I seriously doubt if they will contact us because we've been left in the dark for pretty much the whole process of this journey. When we go to the embassy website for registering for scheduling the interview date, there is a warning that says if we haven't received a notice from them with instructions to register, our registration will be canceled. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that they will never send us any instructions (that has been our experience so far). Should we register or wait? Does anyone know if we should ignore that warning? Thank you.
  4. Yes, they finally sent our case to NVC. NVC received it on Sep 21, but they still haven't entered it into their system. We are now stuck at NVC. It's ridiculous how bad and inefficient the immigration system is.
  5. I contacted USCIS and placed a service request to send our case to NVC. They initially replied to the service request saying that they sent the case to NVC and asked to wait 30 business days. That turned out to be false. We waited 30 business days, then placed another service request. This time they replied that the case was NOT sent due to shipping delays and didn't specify when it will be sent. I recommend you placing a service request to send your case to NVC and at the same time request to talk to a tier 2 agent. Placing service requests didn't resolve our issue, but it may work for you. I'm waiting for a tier 2 callback. When you request to speak to a tier 2 agent, they put you in queue for a callback from tier 2 support that has more information and options related to what they can do on your case. The tier 2 callback may take 30 days, so if you are going to request one, you should do it now to save time.
  6. I requested to speak to a tier 2 agent. They put me in the queue, but I don't have high hopes about that to be honest. We've placed two tier 2 requests during in the past, and in both of those times they emailed us instead of calling. The emails were very generic. It seemed like they copy/pasted some templated response that had nothing to do with my inquiries.
  7. They are saying that we have to wait because there are delays. Nothing really useful. We've been waiting for more than 4 months. I called them many times, contact our congressman, contacted ombudsman, but nothing worked. I was just hoping if there other people here on visa journey who are in similar situation and can share some tips and ideas on how we can resolve this issue. Something doesn't seem right with our case at USCIS.
  8. Hello. Our NOA2 was May 10, but USCIS still hasn't sent our case to NVC. It's been 4.5 months. I already called USCIS and emailed NVC many times. Our case is stuck at USCIS for some reason. Is there anyone who was in similar situation? If so, how did you resolve that issue? Thank you.
  9. Yes, I called them many times. There is no use of talking to them. They are telling me things that don't make any sense at all.
  10. Hello. Our NOA2 was May 10, but USCIS still hasn't sent our case to NVC. It's been 4.5 months. Is there anyone who was in similar situation? If so, how did you resolve that issue? Thank you.
  11. Have you tried sending email to nvcresearch@state.gov? They usually reply in a few days. USCIS was initially telling us that they forwarded our case to NVC too, but it turned out later that they didn't, so it's worth submitting a service request at USCIS service center where your case was approved for someone to go check if the case was indeed sent to NVC. That's what we did when we learned that they actually didn't send our case to NVC.
  12. Hi All, we received our NOA2 on May 10. It's been more than 4 months, but our case is still at USCIS for some reason. We submitted multiple service requests at USCIS to forward our case to NVC, but our case is still with them. This is what we've tried so far: Contacted our congressman and asked help with NVC inquiry on July 12. We thought that our case was at NVC back then. We received a response that NVC hadn't received our case. Called USCIS and submitted a service request to send our case to NVC on July 27. Received an email after about a week saying that our case was sent to NVC on July 22. Called USCIS multiple times. Emailed NVC multiple times at nvcresearch@state.gov email address. Got responses that there was still no progress. Contacted the President Biden's office for help. We haven't received a response from them yet. Contacted the CIS Ombudsman's office for help. Haven't received a response from them either. Submitted another service request at USCIS on Sep 2 to check if our case was indeed forwarded to NVC. We received response that our case WAS NOT forwarded to NVC. That's how we learned that USCIS still had our case. They were previously saying that they forwarded our case to NVC, but that turned out to be false. Submitted an expedite request at USCIS on Sep 9. Our request was denied on Sep 13. We tried everything. Now, we are thinking of filing a writ of mandamus lawsuit against USCIS to force them forward our case to NVC with the help of federal court. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Has anyone filed a lawsuit against USCIS or any other immigration office?
