Hello, my mom, a U.S. Citizen, filed an I-130 for her sister who lives with her husband and child in Iran.
Priority Date: AUG-2006
Documentarily Qualified: January 22, 2021
Interview Location: Abu Dhabi
So as of making this post, we've been waiting 586 days for a Green Card interview to be scheduled.
We do get emails from the NVC every 60 days saying we're still in line for an interview, no action required, etc. (last email being July 25).
I know that COVID-19 has really disrupted this process and elongated wait times- I think a bunch of Abu Dhabi (and other embassies) visa processing services were shut down completely for a while.
Right now the Abu Dhabi website only has this sentence, "The U.S. Embassy Abu Dhabi has resumed routine immigrant visa processing services on a limited basis."
Looking at Visa Issuance Data:
May 2022
95 F4 Issuances to Iran
19 F4 Issuances by Abu Dhabi Embassy
June 2022
100 F4 Issuances to Iran
37 F4 Issuances by Abu Dhabi Embassy
July 2022
52 F4 Issuances to Iran
9 F4 Issuances by Abu Dhabi Embassy
So it looks like things are moving (though July was rather slower).
Is anyone else waiting for an F4 Green Card Interview at the Abu Dhabi Embassy?
Does anyone have any news about the Abu Dhabi embassy, or Green Card interview scheduling times?
