Yes, she had tons of papers which we did not mail in - bank statements, property Grundbuch, confirmation that petitioner has already moved to US, etc., etc.
She was not asked to show any of these.
My wife went in for the interview today.
I (the US Citizen petitioner) was not allowed inside. They will only let you in if the beneficiary claims to not speak English and you act as an interpreter.
The interview was rather easy (die to all documents well organized and mailed in in advance).
Questions were simple - what does your husband do? where are you going to live?
I have updated the timeline. All in all it took about 3 months.
Good luck everyone!
We asked again and the response was - We can confirm the receipt of your mailed in documents and they will be processed shortly.
So some partial progress but no interview appointment yet.
Congrats! Lucky you. Our Packet 3 is at the consulate since Sept 27 and to my reminder they replied "Due to the large amount of mail, we currently cannot go through the mail to check if your document(s) have arrived"
Do you mean you asked right away to schedule an interview _instead of_ waiting for them to receive and approve packet 3 and contact you back after that?
We would be definitely interested in this to speed up the remaining steps!
Yes, same situation here. Documents received by the consulate August 3rd, no result yet. They say they don’t know how long it might take.
How did you get a medical appointment without case # and without an interview date?
