  1. I have a question for those who have already gone through this process: Once you get your case number from NVC and it is in transit to the foreign embassy, can you start filing your DS-160 and schedule your interview and all that, or do you HAVE to wait for the welcome packet and instructions sent by the embassy once they are ready for you? Ive heard some member say they had their interview scheduled and pretty much ready to go by the time the welcome letter arrived. If you do have to wait, how long does that usually take after they receive your case?
  2. I got an email with my case number from NVC, saying that it is in transit now. When I go online to create a profile, it asks me for a “Priority Date”. Does anyone know where I can find this? Or what I should do next while I wait? I heard you can get most things done with the case number once you have it.
  3. Yep same here. But based on the comment above its looking like 60 days and still no case numbers. Has ANYONE in this group reported case numbers yet?? I really want to know what kind of time frame to expect…
  4. What?? So youve been waiting for your NVC number for over two months now? How does that even make sense… I thought this part was supposed to move much quicker.. 😕😕😕
  5. I need some help. I see that everyone is suggesting to have a copy of the i-129f form I sent to USCIS when my fiance goes to the interview. The problem is I left the states to come stay with my fiance while we wait for an approval. Now we have the approval and waiting for a response from NVC, but I didnt bring that i129f copy with me. How important is this step? Should I really invest in another round trip home just to get that packet? From my understanding they will have all this info with them, whats the value in us bringing a copy with us? I also asked this in the August forum but I figure more people from this group might have been through the interview process already.

  7. We received our approval a month ago, still no word on weather it was received by NVC. Does anyone have any updates? I feel like we are being played, because I cant think of a single shipping service that takes that long to make delivery. Id take it there on foot faster than that lol
  8. Im looking at the NVC processing times and I am a little bit confused. Can someone help? They have an estimate for case creation time, which happens after USCIS sends your approved file to them. But then they have a case approval estimate, which is like 2 months out. What exactly do they need to approve? Do our cases go through ANOTHER approval process? And it states that you have to submit affidavit of support and other documents which I thought you did all that at the local embassy when you schedule your interview…
  9. Approved! 442 days later, probably the most rewarding feeling ever! Does anyone know where I can get some info on the next steps in the process I need to take? Hang in there everyone! Your day is coming!
  10. Man, Im seeing so many people get accepted around the 420-30 day mark. Im happy for them but I am so nervous that our case is one of the few unlucky ones that go much past that. Im at 440 days right now, not far off that but every day is like torture because I fear we are one of those exceptions that seem to be stuck at the bottom of the pile. How many people right now are much past 440 days?
  11. I feel like everyone is SO close but it feels like forever. These past few days without an update felt like I was holding my breath. I really wish they were more transparent about this process so you know what and when to expect it. Instead of this “Hey COULD BE TODAY! Or in 2 months idk, hope your wedding plans are going great”.
