    I suggest that you send an email to the consulate once your medical is sent to let them know. If your medical gets sent electronically, consulate won’t acknowledge receipt.

    Took 2 months to issue my visa from the time the new medical was sent. No lawsuit. They requested new medical on july 14. I was able to book a july 27th appoint for my new medical. New medical was electronically sent on august 11. Status updated to issued on october 11.

    If you have travel plans, i would advise getting your passport back. They kept my passport after the interview and held it for 9 months until they issued my visa.

    Fyi, got my visa today. Had our interview on jan 4th, received ds-5535 on the same day. Ap cleared on July and was asked to redo my medical. Submitted the new medical on August. Ceac status updated to issued on oct 11. Consulate shipped visa on the 20th.

    Nada. Although the updated date of my app as shown in ceac changed to october 20. I hope that is good news lol

    When your status changed to issued, how long did you have to wait for the tracking? I’m guessing the consulate emailed you the info?

    Thanks! Mine changed to issued on the 11th. I checked again on the 14th, it still said issued but the updated date changed to october 13. Still waiting for the tracking. Hopefully we get our visas soon.

    Congrats man!! Did your status change to ‘Issued’? Did you get an e-mail when your visa was approved?

    When you did your re medical, did the doctor’s office sent the results electronically or did you have to mail them yourself? congrats btw

    Did you have the medical in Toronto? Mine took 10 business days as well. Doctor’s office said they sent the results but until now, status still says refused. Don’t even know if they received the results.

    Thanks. I wasn’t given a copy of the result. Office of the doctor said they sent the result electronically. That was 2 weeks ago, I haven’t heard from the consulate sincd then. Do you have an idea how long they’d issue a visa once they receive the new medical?

    Question regarding remedical. I was instructed to submit a new medical as mine expired. I’m done with the re medical (in Toronto). Do I need to mail the medical results to US consulate in Montreal or is this done online by the panel physician?
