  1. It took me 8 months and 3 weeks to get FR from DOS despite having a pretty straightforward case. No one could tell how cases are being processed, but I would say, its most likely based on country of origin. However you have to keep waiting for few more weeks, although this can be nerve-wracking. They will definitely process the case and the FR will be obtained.
  2. I have not. Fingers crossed, hoping things get better soon.
  3. I have not heard from the DOS. Yeah, I have been waiting since July.
  4. Hi... Has anyone received 'Favourable Recommendation' from the DOS this January 2023?
  5. I first got the automatic reply, after which the DOS was uploaded. And then they replied after about 6 working days. I wish you the best.
  6. I only quoted my full name, date of birth, case number, waiver category (NOS) and then reason for contacting them. Also I indicated my case number and waiver category as the subject of the email. I submitted my application on June 30th. Everything was updated on the DOS website as at July 7th, except NOS. I contacted them in August for the NOS and they uploaded it and backdated it to July 6th. The waiver is still pending. This week would make it 10th week and I hope I get FR soon.
  7. I had a similar case as you. In my case, I first contacted the DOS via email asking them about the update of the NOS and also attaching the NOS I got from my home country embassy. They updated the NOS after 24 hours and backdated the NOS to reflect the date my documents were received. In sum, you should first write the DOS. If they did not receive it, definitely they would let you know.
