I just got my US PR. Can I travel to the US in my car with Canadian plates without importing it? I need to make 2-3 visits to the US this month. But I wanted to spend another 4 months in Canada before moving permanently to the US and importing my car.

I was planning to make 2-3 trips to the US while still living in Canada before finally importing my car and moving there permanently in 4 months. Is that feasible?

I am a Canadian and my US green card just got approved. Can I drive my Canadian bought car (with Canadian plates) into the US as a US permanent resident without importing it? The CBP website says that non-residents can drive a Canadian car in the US without importing it for a year. But do US Permanent residents also get a year before they have to import it? Thanks.
