  1. Its not letting me go any further without an additional payment for the visa which has already been paid for. So I sent an email to their contact email address which did nothing but tell me they have nothing to do with the website and told me to contact the embassy directly with this email visas_mexico@state.gov . I went ahead and ordered a second set of certified divorce papers and have them being sent to the embassy through certified mail, which takes 6 to 10 days because no one will help of clear the need for the additional payment, which the first email address gives you instructions to contact them to have it removed and directly tells you NOT TO PAY IT BECAUSE ITS NOT REFUNDABLE at this email address....mexico_contactus@visaops.net We are just stuck in this holding pattern.....
  2. hi that link does not have an area to upload documents. by any chance do you have another one?
  3. Thank you for your generous support. So, after 50 emails and 9 phone calls. I emailed the governor with all the responses and asked if he could produce a document that states they cannot find the records and apostile the document we have.... that was 4 days ago. Today I got an email from Vital statistics that my order was being shipped when the wait time was to be 3 weeks... your a genius
  4. Oddly enough the only problem is getting the divorce certificate, however there is a process the governor can do called (Apostille) to have him certify the document we have because no one can find even the filing. The case number we have is five digits, they are nine now and both the judge and attorneys are all deceased. The consulate only wants this document and he is cleared for his Visa. There was some plea bargain deal that he would be allowed back into this country without penalty so we never addressed it and neither did the consulate. thank you for all your info. thank you
  5. My fiance had been in this country 15 years, speaks perfect english. He should have applied to be legal, he should of. I had no idea what was going on until I got a phone call. He was arrested in a park and charged with a DUI. He was not drunk, it was 9 am and he had a beer and one shot of tequila at 1AM. But, they told him if he pleaded to the DUI they would voluntary deport him allowing him to come back. If he fought them they would remove with prejudice and it would be 15 years, so it was a bunch of nonsense. I was so upset about the entire thing as I had a lot of his expenses I had to cover till I got things situated to be able to apply for the fiance visa. I do not really want to get married in Mexico, we could have but we both prefer to do our marriage in the US as my dream wedding is an Elvis wedding, so we did speak to attorneys and they both said, it would be the same time. So, I work with a bunch of officers and they just told me to file it myself because we had to much legal history together. Its a signed order, ordering the divorce and other distributions and custody all on the same order and it is certified, but they want a divorce decree. I spoke with Utah and I guess we can fill out a form and do it that way or order another certified copy and go through the governors office with some additional seal , they are not accepting the one I have which is ridiculous. I agree, It literally reads in capital letters JUDGEMENT AND DECREE (UNDERLINED).. it is hereby ORDERED, ADJUDGED and DECREED as follows: 1. That the Plaintiff and Defendant are hereby awarded a Decree of Divorce, and the bonds of holy matrimony that have hereto-fore fore exited between Plaintiff and Defendant are hereby dissolved the same to become final upon filling and signing by the court. Sounds like a decree to me and its a cerified copy.
  6. My fiance was deported in 2019 we had lived together for several years before this date. He left about 50k in personal property that I had to deal with and store so it took awhile to come up with the funds to process the visa application which started in February 2021. He had gone the day before and gave them everything, but they wanted an updated i134 they would not accept the one I submitted in June of 2022 or july 2022. We turned that in the very next day at the appointment, except I forgot to sign it because we did the online fill in and in the rush to get all the copies. That was the first time he came out, Than they asked for tax returns that he took in with him and they never asked and looked at them at all, the third time he came out he asked for more photos, which he had about 100 with him... He went back in and than they asked for me and gave us directions on how to lock everything up ( phone, other documents, lap top , back pack)... They let us sit together and than called us into separate rooms. I was asked the following. 1. How do my grown children feel about the marriage. 2. How was I accepted by his family 3. How did I meet my fiance 4. What do we do in our free time when he lived in the states 5. what are our plans for the next five years. She stopped all the questions when I told her I am a license bonded security agent at the Convention Center and work 12 hour days. They made all this fuss about i134 and tax returns, but never looked at them. My fiance did bring his receipts and titles for vehicles in the states to show he has assets in the US. Regarding the singed order for the divorce, it was accepted in my prior marriage ( that husband is deceased). My exhusband in the marriage has been married 5 times, its a signed order. However I am in contact with Utah self help center and so far there is a path to applying for a divorce decree as a formal certificate or the decree the judge signed can be certified by the governors office, I am waiting for them to tell me what avenue we will be taking. My fiance and I have legal documents (banks, insurance , titles, drivers licenses, cell phone, cable) that have us living together for so many years, 10 years on facebook, connected.. you would think this would be a no brainer.
  7. Good Afternoon and I am hoping someone can help me because the embassy is closed for the weekend. We went to our interview and it went very differently than others have experienced. 1. they let my fiance leave the interview 3 times to retrieve documents during the interview. 2. they interviewed both parties in Mexico City. They asked for one additional item which is a certified original or a divorce decree. I am supposed to upload this to a website that was listed on the instructions that is so faint I can hardly read it, as best as I can after expanding it and having 10 people look at it... is this website https://ais.usvisa.info.com/en-ins.iv However it does not exist. Does anyone have the website for this process I was asked to complete. I have been without my fiance for almost four years and this is the final document they need thank you in advance!
  8. So long day for us. WE had an issue with the i134, they wanted a new one filled out because the last one is 6 months old. So, we had to submit that document on the day of appointment , today. My fiance went in and I waited at starbucks, and they sent him 3 more times to get more documents, than he came back and yes, they interviewed me...( they showed us a locker to lock up our personal items and phones)....So both were interviewed and they just asked for a certified copy of a divorce record and 3 phone numbers of references to call to verify our relationship. This turned out very different than other posts, so people should be aware. Super happy I went to the interview with my fiance.
  9. Hey I have a friend in Mexico right now and they need to redo their i134 to this document expiring october 2022 I guess they expire so you have to fill out the most relevant information https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-134.pdf good luck
  10. Go through the email system and tell them you did not get your case number. We found out that the case number ) example ours started with MEX I know someone that is in columbia and hers is BOG for bogata. They told us Mexico City was closed but if you go on and look they are processing, they have been open since april,... So, I sent that info the link showing its open. this: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html You can even call there... its open. I found out the MEX number we needed they issued in January.. they could have sent it.. but did not until I emailed them about 3 times. They first sent the MEX number but would not send an invoice number so I could log in, but I didnt need it for the ds160 https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ It looks like if you can do the visa, they might be asking to transfer the case....because as others on this board told me to just do that and it triggered an appointment. the financial affadavit is i134 https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-134.pdf
  11. Good Evening, so we have our appointment to bring documents the day before the actual appointment. Can I go to that appointment (document drop off) with my fiance? I have heard he goes alone for the interview but I have no heard any comments about the dropping off document process. I have read several people generously share the tip to avoid all electronic devices on the day of the appointment because they are prohibited, but can I have them with me (cell phone) when we drop off documents. Any experience you have had and are willing to share is big time appreciated. Also, what did you do while your fiance was in the interview? Is there a Starbucks or a cafe that would let me stay there endlessly (of course I will spend and tip the heck out of the staff) thank you so much
  12. hi. We were told the same thing and just went out and filled out the forms anyways as recommended by participants on this site. WE went to fill out the financial affadavit and it said.. only ukraine is being accepted but when we clicked to the next page... it let us use the drop down box for Mexico. so we proceeded and got a receipt number at the completion. Same with the Visa.... We filled out the DS160 and thats when we got the appointment...and got the notice our file was being sent to the embassy in mexico city. Mexico City has a 35 day wait list for an appointment (bus days) and that is about what it took. Ciudad Juarez is like 3 days,.
  13. Original application 2.26.21 however we were notified after numerous emails.... on augsust 25 2022 that we had an appointment 10.13.22. so hold on on 10.3.2022 we got the same message to pay because ceac wasnt allowing us to pay through them. You cannot pay electronically, you literally need to walk into a mexican bank to do this...
  14. Well, like everyone else its been quite a wait on this process, but we finally have an appointment. We were having trouble paying fees online, but a week after giving us the date of the appointment, we received a notification that we had 72 hours to walk into a bank in Mexico and provide an account number and a pin number to pay the 260. or they would cancel the appointment. We received it on a wed. and the money had to be paid 2 days before the due date, giving us exactly 24 hours to pay. Its paid, but just wow on the urgency. My fiance and I have been apart for over 3 years, due to covid I have only been able to go there and visit one time. I was planning on being there for the visa appointment, waiting outside so we could celebrate and possibly go the the beach and just be so happy the process is complete. However, I cannot get off work due to other coworkers out with medical issues. So, (sigh) I just have to wait here. My question is to anyone that has gone through the visa process in Mexico City, how long did you wait to get the physical Visa so you could exit the country and be with your honey? Thank you
  15. I actually have posted actual resources from the NVC and CEAC websites, those are facts. I appreciate you are so lucky you can get through your process with alternative facts. Your very blessed. However, the question was how to complain when NVC does not follow its own rules.
  16. I came here asking how to file a complaint about the NVC because after 3 contacts I am yet to be given the welcome letter with the digits to upload documents and work towards completing this process. Someone else commented that I did not need a welcome letter which is the the information that is posted in several areas. And yes its for a k1 visa at this stage.
  17. I think your thinking of another process. This is the process that I read about, I didn't think about it.., I read it.. like a contract. Process for Bringing your Fiancé(e) to the United States The process for bringing your fiancé(e) to the United States involves USCIS, the U.S. Department of State (DOS), and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). At each stage in the process, background and security checks may be conducted on both you and your fiancé(e). This may include checks in various databases for national security, criminal history, and other information about you and your fiancé(e). These checks are conducted using fingerprints, names, or other biographic or biometric information. Step 1: Petition for Fiancé(e) – USCIS You file Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) according to the form instructions. This form asks USCIS to recognize the relationship between you and your fiancé(e). We review your Form I-129F and the documents you submitted. We may mail you a request for evidence if we need additional documentation or information. If you establish your eligibility, we approve your Form I-129F and recognize the claimed fiancé(e) relationship. Otherwise, we deny your Form I-129F and notify you of the reasons for denial. We send the approved Form I-129F to the DOS National Visa Center (NVC). For additional information about filing the petition, see the Form I-129F and form instructions. Step 2: Visa Application – DOS The NVC forwards the approved Form I-129F to the U.S. Embassy or consulate where your fiancé(e) will apply for a K-1 nonimmigrant visa. This is generally the U.S. Embassy or consulate where your fiancé(e) lives. The U.S. Embassy or consulate notifies you when the visa interview for your fiancé(e) is scheduled. Your fiancé(e) applies for the K-1 nonimmigrant visa and brings the required forms and documents to the visa interview. The DOS consular officer determines whether your fiancé(e) qualifies for the K-1 nonimmigrant visa. If the consular officer grants the K-1 nonimmigrant visa, it is valid for up to 6 months for a single entry. If the consular officer does not find the relationship to be bona fide, DOS will not issue a K-1 nonimmigrant visa and instead will return the Form I-129F to USCIS. Generally, if DOS returns a Form I-129F to us after it has expired, we will allow it to remain expired. However, you may choose to file a new Form I‑129F. For additional information about applying for a visa, see the DOS Nonimmigrant Visa for a Fiancé(e) page. Step 3: Inspection at a Port of Entry – CBP If DOS issues a K-1 nonimmigrant visa, your fiancé(e) travels to the United States and seeks admission at a port of entry while the K-1 nonimmigrant visa is valid. As with any visa, a K-1 nonimmigrant visa does not guarantee admission to the United States. A CBP officer at the port of entry will make the ultimate decision about whether to admit your fiancé(e). Step 4: Marriage If your fiancé(e) is admitted as a K-1 nonimmigrant, you and your fiancé(e) have 90 days to marry each other. Step 5: Adjustment of Status – USCIS If you marry within 90 days, your fiancé(e)—now your spouse—may apply for a Green Card by filing Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. We review Form I-485 and the documents your spouse submitted. We may mail a request for evidence to your spouse if we need additional documentation or information. You and your spouse will usually be required to appear for an interview. If you were married for less than two years at the time the Form I-485 is approved, USCIS will grant your spouse conditional permanent resident status and issue a Green Card valid for 2 years. Your spouse will need to remove the conditions on his or her residence by filing Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence in the 90 days before his or her Green Card expires. For additional information about applying for a Green Card, see the Form I-485 and instructions and the Green Card for Fiancé(e) of U.S. Citizen page. For additional information about removing the conditions on your spouse’s conditional permanent residence, see the Form I-751 page and the Remove Conditions on Permanent Residence Based on Marriage page. Each case is different and the length of the process varies. USCIS processes fiancé(e) petitions in the order we receive them. For more information about current processing times for the Form I-129F, see the Check Processing Times page.
  18. Its asking for the 16 digit invoice ID that is in the welcome letter. I am really sort of puzzled at some of these replied. The first step for a US citizen to bring their fiance over is a i129F and after this is approved it goes to NVC and they assign a new case number with a digital code to upload documents CEAC as it is now turned into K1. AFTER the documents are uploaded and fees paid it is forwarded to the consulate. So, once again they have issued a number for the k1 visa but no digital code to upload documents and pay the fees. So once again, where do you file a complaint against the NVC. If you case is processing electronically, please log into your CEAC account at ceac.state.gov/iv with your NVC case number and 16 digit Invoice ID for case status and to learn what steps you must take to advance your case. Disregard the instructions below, they do not apply to electronic processing. If your case is processing on paper (you mailed paper documents to NVC for review), then the case status and instructions below apply to your case. Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask.
  19. Thank you for your preply but its not accurate. They send me the new case number k1 with a ID number needed to log into CEAC to upload documents, that they inspect and when that is complete.. send to the consulate.. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html You cannot track anything CEAC without that code. https://ceac.state.gov/iv/login.aspx ep 3: Pay Fees The first thing you need to do after receiving your NVC Welcome Letter is pay your processing fees. There are two processing fees: Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee Affidavit of Support Fee. You will need a bank routing number and a checking or savings account number from a U.S. based bank. To pay your fee, log into your case in CEAC and click the ‘PAY NOW’ button under Affidavit of Support Fee or IV Fee on your summary page.
  20. Filed i129 in 2021 feb... approved.. fev 2022 NVC has never sent a welcome letter with the receipt number to upload documents. I have sent several emails and they have given me a case number but I cannot track it .. or upload documents or anything. The only thing NVC sent me in June was that the consulate in Mexico city was closed... which is not true either. Numerous emails but they reply with a timeline of 30 days. Its ridiculous...
