It seems like AOS process is a lot faster than K1.
Since my wife is with me now, I don't check USCIS website like crazy.
And I don't really trust USCIS website.
It says I-129F is still pending. WTH!!!
Anyway... hope to get bio letter in a few days.
Everyone, have a nice weekend~

Can anyone tell me where law or rule says that NOA1 for I-485, passport with K1 visa, and marriage license are the proof of legal status for K-1 visa holder who married USC within 90 days of entry?
Or USCIS webpage that shows marring USC within 90 days of entry grant lawful stay beyond the date stamped on I-94?
Thanks a lot!

My wife came to US as K-1 visa holder and her I-94, 90 day stamp, will expire in October.
She sent her AOS application recently.
Between October, after her I-94 expires, and time when she gets her green card,
how can she prove that she is here legally?
Does she need to carry NOA1 with her passport?
Just carrying driver's license is enough?
How did you or your spouse do?
Thanks for your help!!!

I sent my wife's AOS application on Aug 29th.
USCIS picked it up yesterday.
Yes, yesterday.
It was Labor day!!!
Can you belive USCIS working on Labor day?
And the time stamp said 9:21 pm.
Anyway... the waiting begins.

I'm preparing my wife's AOS package and it seems like required documents for I-765 & I-131 are quite simple.
So simple compare to I-129 or I-485 that I couldn't believe it.
Following is the list that I come up with.
Could you check if I'm missing something?
For I-765
I-765
copy of passport
copy of K-1 visa
copy I-94
2 photos
For I-131
I-131
copy of passport
copy of K-1 visa
copy I-94
2 photos
Thanks a lot!!!

In a FAQ section says...
It is sent to the USCIS (INS) district office closest to where you will reside, which will be the office handling your case once in the USA.
1. If we move before submitting AOS application - Chicago to D.C., will the old office forward documents to the new office?
2. My fiancee hasn't come to US yet. Should she ask POE officer to send documents to the new office?
I want to minimize the chance that our documents being lost during transfer.
Thanks a lot!

I've read on the forum, it took more than a month for a lot of March approved from CSC.
Does it still take that long?
I was approved on April 29th from CSC.
I called NVC this morning, waited about 5 min, and talked to a real person.
NVC hasn't received my case.
From her voice, I could feel that she was not happy that I didn't wait for 4 weeks.
How could I wait for 4 more weeks?
She was helpful, though, explaining details of changing address for the beneficiary.

Finally NOA2!!!
The touch on April 29th was the approval.
Good luck to all, who's still waiting.
-
I received the NOA2 by mail.
The notice date is April 29, 2008 but USCIS website is still saying that my case is pending.
I've got a touch on April 29 and that was the approval, I guess.
Fixed the computer!!!
-
I was touched on April 29th but no approval.
Hopefully mine is coming soon!!!

I'm still waiting my NOA2 from CSC.
I haven't been touched since Dec 30, 2007.
I guess CSC filers aren't coming to VJ much, because it's depressing.
Good luck to all!

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/
On the right side, it states that petitions with NOA1 date of December 17, 2007 from CSC are currently being processed.
I understand that this statistics is based on the input of VJ members.
Past couple days, there wasn't any NOA2 from CSC.
And only a few December filers got their NOA2 so far.
Then why does it say mid-December filers are being processed?
CSC seems dead, and I'm getting impatient.

I pass 100 mark and now at 92!
Let's go CSC!!!
-
My check was cashed in just one day. I guess CSC needed the money badly.
I'm still waiting so unfortunately it doesn't mean quick approval.
Good Luck~
-
Congratulations!!!!
Hope I'll be next.
-
Congratulations!!!!
-
December CSC filer got his approval in 97 days.
I shouldn't have high hopes but 2 more days and it can be me.
If not then...
May the Luck of Irish hit us all!!!
-
I was touched once on Dec 30, 2007.
mayumi_anthony
You waited more than 130 days so your day is coming fast.
Good Luck!!!

Some October CSC filers called and were told that their cases were not yet assigned to immigration officers.
So I think my file is still on the self gathering dust.
Waiting for 130 days to get approved in 15 min.
Depressing.
Hopefully it doesn't take more than 15 min.

Another CSC filer here!
I wish I lived in East coast.
VT is a lot closer to me than CA.
I guess I shouldn't come to VJ so often.
To keep my sanity, you know?
Stay strong!!
-
Wow!!! Just a month!
Congratulations~
-
congratulations to everybody who got approved ,,,,,csc filers are left behind ...well its not our time yet we need a lot of patience... it will come soon.....lets pray......
October filers are starting to get approved so I guess we need to wait two more months.
Stay strong!

My wife did a walk-in biometrics today without any problem in Alexandria, VA.
The place was empty and it took her only 5 min including waiting time.
Have a nice weekend everyone!
