  1. Hey guys. Me and my fiance had made wedding plans, but we only talked about it through chat and phone calls. We have no official documents yet, that means no wedding invitations yet, and we haven't made an agreement with venues, officiants, etc. We're planning to do that once I get to the US. If the CO asked me if me and my fiance made wedding plans already, should I say yes, and if they asked for proof, is it acceptable to show just the screenshots of us talking about it? Or should I say no?
  2. Hi guys, so I went to SLEC for my medical exam last Friday. I was able to do all of the procedures, but after the PE, the doctor said she would refer me to a psychotherapist. She asked me if I went to a psychiatrist before and I said yes, and she also asked me about the self-harm scar I had on my wrist that was only last year (it was the first and last time, never did it again.) When I was sent to the office for US follow-up, they said that I needed the psychiatrist's certificate so I can bring it for the psych evaluation tomorrow, but the thing is, it's been 5 years since I went to the psych and I don't even know her name anymore. It was a one-time thing and I never went back because I was able to manage myself and heal after that. Would it be fine if I didn't bring anything to present when I go to my psych evaluation? Do the chances of me getting denied by the embassy increase if the doctor is not satisfied without any documentation in hand proving that I'm well now and I'm not a threat to myself and to others? I'm really stressing out about this. Does anyone have a similar situation?
  3. Hello! My fiancée and I are confused about when or how we get the medical interview before the actual consulate interview. We're reading it's before, but we are told we can schedule with the embassy right now. Can someone give us a timeline for when we get our date? Or do we schedule it on our own?
  4. Hi guys, any Filipinos here who can help me? Where should I pay for the DS-160 fee? How do I pay for it, do I need to bring some requirements? Do I pay before or during the visa interview? And lastly, I did my research, but I still want to confirm if the fee is $265? Thank you in advance!
  5. Thanks! We got the status of "in transit" now, and my petitioner also got the email from the NVC about what to do next, but I still haven't gotten anything (the beneficiary) in the mail. Do I have to wait for it before I start with the requirements? Is it possible to just present a screenshot of the email from the NVC that my fiance got?
  6. Hi guys. So, we applied for the K1 visa August of last year and we got a notification that our petition got approved last August 1st this year. Now, it says that if after 30 days we haven't received anything from the NVC, we can email them about it. So we did, and they emailed us back saying they'll notify us once the case is forwarded to the US Embassy, and they also gave us a new case number (correct case number). Now, when I checked our status on CEAC, this is what they said. We don't really get what it means, can you guys help me simplify it or explain it? That would be appreciated.
  7. Hi guys, beneficiary here. I just have a question. I can't seem to find any information about this on the official immigration websites as well as other websites, so I thought maybe you guys would know something about this. So, once I fly to the US and the 90 days start, will I be able to travel to another state outside of the state where my fiance lives before we get married? He lives in Oregon, but if we decide to, say, take a vacation to Hawaii while I'm still under the K-1 visa, am I allowed to fly with him there? Answers would be appreciated, I hope everyone is having a good day!
  8. Thanks! Also, one more question—in my fiancée's birth certificate, it says "unknown" on his birth place, but he knows exactly where he was born—the city and all that. Should we follow what's on the birth certificate in the I-129f or just put the city of his birth place anyway? I mean, if ever, someone could testify for him that he was born there, (like his family), but we just really want to make sure that we're not going to get an RFE for it...
  9. Hey guys, I have a few questions about the I-129f that me and my fiance are a little confused about... 1. If I, the beneficiary, live in my current address for 5 years, do I have to fill up my physical address 2? 2. What if the petitioner or the beneficiary forgot the employment start and end date in our previous jobs? Is it required to put the exact dates? 3. In Part 2, page 8, item 54, it says to attach evidence of meeting in the last two years. How do we attach it? Should it be in the form, or should it be already included in the packet that we're going to send? 4. In addition to question 3, we typed out the story of how we met, (literally how we met) which is on a dating app. Now, the part that's confusing is, is it the same as what the i-129 is asking for, the circumstances of meeting for the last two years? (In the letter, it includes how we met in person too.) 5. If my fiance (petitioner) had a crime conviction, should we attach the court record documents and paperwork in the additional information of the form, or should we include it in the packet? 6. Should we leave some items blank or put N/A on all of it? 7. What is the general format of the additional information, specifically if we're going to add more employment history? We actually already have it typed out, (see picture below) but do you guys think this is the correct formatting? Also, any examples or pictures would be a big help for us. Thank you so much in advance for replying! ☺️
