    My father's case is at Mumbai consulate. He gave interview at the end of June (30th) and still waiting update on passport. I check status with USTravel docs everyday and they just say passport is at embassy. They don't know anything further. However, when I check status on ceac website, status (which was updated on July 8th, 8 days after the interview) strangely shows: Ready (description: ready for interview- schedule appointment). Any thoughts why it shows ready and schedule interview appointment when he already gave the interview on 6/30?

    Any update? I have similar situation with my Dad. My mother got her passport but my Dad's passport is sitting with them with no updates
