    good luck everyone!!!

    Sounds a bit like my case... never been married before, 8 yrs difference (he's older), both muslim, started paperwork march 2007 and we just had the interview... take heart, CR-1 takes a little longer than K-1, but inshalla you will have the interview date soon.

  4. :o oh man!! i'm finished with everything...we're just waiting for the interview date now...i probably won't be with my husband for another year!!!!!!!!! this is ridiculous!! how long did u guys wait for the interview date? and now i see that it takes over 7 months for the reviewing process!! they gotta be kidding me!! i heard they mail it out with their carrier....i'm guessing thats why it takes sooo long!! does anyone know if its possible to personally pick it up?? haha...wishful thinking!! :huh::(
  5. thanks! =) ..yeah, this is really tough...but i don't have a break from school til august!! =( ...i need one of those trips badlyyy!! im going crazyyyy :wacko:

    ...for anyone who doesn't celebrate christmas...december 24th is an amazing time to travel!! =) the ticket's a lot cheaper and everything goes really fast and smoothly...cuz everyone's busy celebrating...on the plane that i was on, everyone had their own row basically..haha..

  6. =) hey dalia,

    i'm in the same boat!! i called the nvc a whole bunch of times!! haha..they're probably veryy sick of me by now...did u ever actually speak to someone?? or you only listen to the automated stuff?? i always actually speak to someone...i called them in teh beginning of november and they told me that you could call around the 14th or 15th of every month to see if you were scheduled for an interview...for example, if you call on dec 15th and find out that you were scheduled for an interview, then your interview date will be in the last 2 or 3 weeks of january....my question is...how long will i wait for an interview?? and how long will i wait after the interview before i could see my husband again????? =(

    this is tough!!!!!!

    i have a friend who filed the papers in sept. 2005 and received the visa in february or march 2007!!!! about a year and 5/6 months!! thats crazy!! =( but the thing is, they changed so much as of january 2007...so i think we'll be the ones informing everyone else later on..haha...we're the guinea pigs here, unfortunately...i hope the changes they've made were for the better!! =(

    we should all be thankful though..haha...i think marriage is a lot more difficult in egypt now..my husband and i got married at a mosque, then at the ministry of justice....but i think the ministry of justice gives ppl a harder time now...

    thank God for everything..and inshaaaa allah[god willingly], we'll all be happily united with our loved ones soon!!!! =(

    take care...all the best!! =)
