The people's timeline on VJ
Quite surprising that I didn’t get an interview yet but many September filers already got. I am not sure If I can do anything at this point except waiting because my case is still under their normal timeline. I had my I-751 approved in October so I doubt if that has any impact on getting an N400 interview.

Nope. I'm checking the timelines on the website and September filers are being scheduled at the sac field office already..I wonder why yours is taking awhile.
Oh wow! Which website are you referring? For me its still showing 5 more months.

Nope, not yet. How about you?

Filed 11/10 biometrics waived 11/10. Sorry that probably doesn't really help you. I was just trying to get a feel of how long I may have to wait. I'm guessing it's over 6-8 months since you haven't been scheduled yet.
Yes, and my online account says it would 6 more months. I am not much relying on that timeline because Sacramento field office is heavily backlogged. I will be happy if I hear something in first quarter of 2023.

What is your timeline? I'm also Sac field office.
Filed N-400 on 06/28/2022 and Biometrics appointment done on 07/19/2022. Case is being actively reviewed since then. What’s your timeline?

My I-751 is updated today to “New Card is Being Produced”. Last month I got a RFE and my case was never updated to any status other than “ready to schedule”. Here is my timeline:
October 21, 2022 New Card Is Being Produced
October 17, 2022 The fingerprints relating to your Form I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, were taken.
April 20, 2022 We are ready to schedule your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, for an interview.
April 6, 2022 Your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, was transferred to your local USCIS office to have an interview scheduled.
April 6, 2022 We transferred your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, to another USCIS office that now has jurisdiction over your case.
July 7, 2021 We received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence.

It was a tough interview. The citizenship was the easy part, but she asked a lot of questions to me and my spouse. She did not approve us on the spot but I got the approval notification the next day. Now waiting to my oath to be scheduled.
For a combo interview could you please share the questions they asked you and your spouse?

Send the original. I'm also Sacramento county. Was only your i751 approved? Or did you have a joint interview with n400?
Both of my cases are pending. My i-751 case is ready for interview but I got RFE. N-400 case is still under review.
BTW are you Punjabi?

Hi everyone!
Just randomly logged into my USCIS account today and now my case status says that the "Interview Was Scheduled". There's no interview date, so I am guessing I'll get the letter with the actual date in the mail in a few days. I was surprised because it's only been 3 months since I filed, but it looks like a few of you too got your interviews scheduled fairly quickly.
Looks like some of you already went through your interviews, or have them very soon! Would anyone mind sharing their experience?
Thanks!
Congratulations!! What is your field office? And did you see any progress in your I-751 case?

Send the original copy. You can always walk down to the county office and collect another birth certificate. You don’t need to xerox it. Original means original. Don’t waste time my friend. Do this ASAP. You are getting i751 approved within days you sent it. Good luck to you
I will send the original copy of birth certificate today. Thank you for your reply!

Urgent help required please:
I am from Sacramento county (California). filed I-751 (Removal of Conditions) in July of 2021. I applied N-400 in May 2022. Before I filed N-400, my I-751 was moved from California Service Center to National Benefits Center and the status was updated to “Case is ready to be schedule for an interview”. My case is in that status since then. But, today I got a letter from USCIS LA County that they need a copy of original birth certificate of our child to make a decision. I am confused with “copy of original birth certificate”. I have two original copy of my daughter’s birth certificate. Should I send one of the Original copy to USCIS or Should I send a xerox copy of the birth certificate? Please suggest ASAP, I am looking to send the document by this weekend. Thank you!!

My husband just received his naturalization interview appointment. He didn’t get an email notification. We only found out after getting the letter in the mail. We then logged in into his USCIS online account and also saw the interview letter on his online case. Here is his timeline:
Applied online: June 29
Biometrics: July 6
Interview letter received: September 3 (date of letter August 29)
Interview date: October 6 @ 11am
Field office: Miami, FL
Applied under 3 year marriage
Can’t believe his case moved so fast!!!!Congratulations!! Do you have a pending I-751?

Congratulations!! You are extremely lucky! Did you get notification today (Saturday)?

Good morning! I'm here to seek an advise and opinions regarding my case.
-Filed September '21 for I-751, pending status. I received re-used biometrics and an extension letter.
-My N-400 can be filed starting on August 22.
-Simultaneously, my son who is immigrating from Philippines is scheduled to be interviewed in the embassy in September as IR2 category.
-I am responsible of course to pick him up and have bought a ticket to go there by end of August.
-Why so early? I am also responsible to accompany him to his medical exam, prepare all his paperwork 2 weeks before the interview and be there for his 10th birthday in August as well.
Now my question
If I file N-400 first week of my eligibility, how long till I get a bio letter and schedule for interview?
Plane tickets are extremely expensive and I wanted to come back with my son without having to make 2 trips, if my N400 case is updated quickly.
Since they reused your biometrics for I-751 so there are good chances that they will reuse them for your N-400 too. But, you may not want to just rely on that and take risk. You never know when can USCIS request for biometrics. I had my biometrics last year for I-751 and this year June when I filled my N-400 they requested biometrics again. I had my biometrics appointment on 07/19 and I have an upcoming international trip on 07/28. I was lucky that I got the appointment before my travel date. If you have an international trip which you can’t avoid then I would suggest you to file N-400 once you return to the U.S. Your N-400 application submission can get few days delayed but In my opinion that will be a safest option to choose. I hope this helps.

It's most definitely related to your recent biometrics. The system isn't instant and sometimes sends you an email a day or so after you have seen an update on your online account.
Okay, thank you for this information.
4 hours ago, KYICGM said:Did you check on documents? I wish I had an update. It’s been radio silence ever since I applied.
Yes, I did check documents and there is nothing new.

Yesterday I had my biometrics and this morning I got two emails (at same time) that an action has been taken on my case. It does not show anything updated online yet. Does anyone know what action possibly it could be?

Thank you for the reply. However when I do that, it says "You cannot add this case to your account because it has already been linked to a USCIS account"
Seems very odd!
Yes, that's strange. I don't think of any other work around. Did you try checking with USCIS customer service or Emma (Virtual Assistant)? I found this discussion thread of people facing same problem https://www.lawfully.com/community/posts/you-cannot-add-this-case-to-your-account-because-it-has-already-been-linked-to-a-uscis-account-6GNPSdNY7EAltNS5M6szHw==
