    Thank you for sharing your experience. We thought of K1 as we know someone who did a few years ago. Back then she was told it would be easier considering her situation. We talked about it and decided to go for CR1 from now on. Thanks !

    Thank you for your replies We are going to Colorado this summer so it might be a good option for us to get married as we got engaged in CO in 2021. We would then start the CR1 process as we get back to France. Huge thanks for your help !

    Thank you @Crazy Cat & @Misscloud for your replies ! We thought it would be faster to apply for a K1 (about 8 months to 12 months) than a CR1 (could take up to 2/3 years). Also, do you have any idea what the procedure would be if we get married in the US without any visa (I know it's not recommended) and then come back to France to ask for a green card ? Thank you for your help !

    Hi there ! I hope you're doing great. My question might be silly but I've been looking all over the web for the answer and I cannot find it. Me and my partner are living in France. It is possible for my partner (US citizen living in France) to file Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) from France for me ? If so, does it means we need to send his file by mail ? Cause I would be surprised the NVC would mail us back in France ... We are planning to get a K1 visa for me (French Citizen) to get married in the US. Huge thank you for your help Florian
