  1. Hi there, I’ve had a few back and forth a now with NVC lasting 6 months. The first was to fill out i864 I stead of i864 EZ since I’m qualifying my husband based on assets. The 2nd time, yesterday, there were two messages. 1. Please provide evidence of income 2. This case does not meet income requirements to sponsor intended immigrant. To avoid delays you may upload i864 joint sponsor. The consular office will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of interview. I’ll now use my mom as a joint sponsor. mom is married and files jointly but she receives annuity checks under her name for more than enough to qualify. 1 question Is…What is the best document to show proving her income? Tax returns? Even if filing jointly? If so, how far back? She has annuity statements as well. 2nd questions is….I have 0 income as I’m nearly 4 months pregnant and waiting out baby. My husband though (beneficiary), is contracting for 3 companies, all of which will continue after move and he’s earning in USD. He’s averaging now around 7k-8k a month. Should we also include a letter from his contract employers stating this? or not worth it since he is only contract and not employed? Any response is much appreciated, im terrified to have the baby here without my husband. I’m US citizen, he’s German. We’ve been in line since January 2021. I’m 37 and did not want to wait any longer to family plan, not that this should need justification.
  2. Hi there, what conclusion did you come to? I have the same problem, only I don’t have any income, my husband is a contractor and his income will continue. Received the same note. Not sure how to proceed.
  3. I’m sponsoring my husband. I did upload w2s which didn’t show sufficient income. But I did show more than 100k in liquid assets including multiple bank statements, trading accounts, Robinhood, crypto accounts and a reit account. Bank accounts alone were 55k. They are still asking for me to upload income and say that I ‘May include a joint sponsor’ I take this to mean that the consular will decide at the interview what will happen. And it’s my choice to provide a second sponsor to avoid any delays. Just not sure why I didn’t receive a DQ letter.
  4. Hi there, I’m having the same issue. Didn’t receive a DQ letter, also revived the same follow up note, all documents state they are approved. And I’ve also been asked to upload proof of income (though I’ve already uploaded all asset information and w2) I am qualifying my husband through assets, did make the mistake of including his income ( even though he is an Independent contractor for a US company). So my question is, should we assume we are moving on to the interview stage and just wait it out? Or should we go ahead and upload a joint sponsor as well and risk going to the back of the line again? Author, did you finally receive a DQ message, or did you just get moved on to the interview?
