    Hello I am new here, and hope I put my question in the right forum. I will try to keep it short. I‘m from Germany, and my fiancé is an American citizen. Currently he is serving his 15 years in prison in Illinois. Next year in August he will be allowed to get out on parole. We have never met. - He was convicted of: AGG DISCHARGE FIREARM/OCC VEH As soon as he gets out, I fly to America with my esta to finally see him. Is there any chance we can get the K1 visa approved? Our families already know about our engagement. I am also in contact with his family. Is it worth applying for the visa now? Or should we wait until he is released? Excuse my spelling.
