  1. Thank you all You are right Mike — it will actually be exactly 94 days when my second interview is scheduled for. my guess is that it will perhaps be more about my move — because my second interview letter doesn’t mention anything about a civics/ English test like the first one. i still have my old DL, and I don’t have time to get a new one — so let’s see how big of an issue that becomes. appreciate you all quelling my concerns that a 2nd interview is not a cause for worry.
  2. Hi I had my first interview in Illinois in July where I passed the civics and English test, but informed the interview officer that I had moved to NJ 2 weeks ago (flew to IL for interview only) and that my current address was not in IL. The interview went very smoothly! Now today, almost 2.5 months later I received another interview letter for Newark Nj office. Is this normal? Cause for worry? Do I need to bring any additional evidence? Is this troublesome/ worrisome? I was just hoping to get an oath invite but instead this kind of freaks me out a lot. danke .
  3. Great point I plan to tell them that I have moved after my interview was scheduled. Folks had suggested that the IO may not interview and just say you gotta do it in your new state. I am hoping (fingers crossed) that they do interview me despite the address change. And then they can perhaps schedule my oath in either location - I won’t ever say no to more reasons to come visit Chicago.
  4. 1. So I can take the receipt with me as physical proof of sending it. 2. It buys more time - so perhaps hoping they don’t get to address change before the actual interview date.
  5. Thank you both. I submitted my AR 11. Instead of online, I sent it via usps and certified mail so I have proof. appreciate both of y’all’s help.
  6. Pardon if this has been asked before. Any one has experience of interviewing while changing address to another state. I am moving to a new state exactly a month before my scheduled interview date in end of July at the Chicago office. my plan is to take a flight back — but I have read on blogs that the office might just cancel it while youre there because you don’t live in the state any more.
  7. Hi all, first post ever case facts - currently a Chicago resident - citizenship interview scheduled for end of July (July 26th) - but I am moving out to my new apartment in New Jersey (closest office Newark) in 3 days (June 21st) Questions 1) do I just show up for the Chicago interview? 2) do I go to the field office in Chicago to ask them? 3) I will update my address online within 10 days of the move — what else can I do to make sure the case is not slipped through the cracks, I have read too many horror stories here 4) any thing else I gotta be doing perhaps?
