  1. We are still waiting for some translations to come back so we can mail to the embassy. It was his birth certificate, name change and some court records that they wanted in more detail. We had both the BC and name change approved by CEAC already, but they wanted an original of the BC. I think many Thais would be in the same situation as they don't have the computer records from their births it is literally just a piece of paper from the clinic that has been copied for years. We had to go back to the town he was born and get another registered copy of it. Hopefully you all don't have any of the same issues. Good luck!
  2. Well didn't go as planned. They sent him home with a bunch of documents they wanted mailed and uploaded again to the site. Some that were already there and approved on the CEAC site. They also asked for my 2022 W2s or paystub which might be helpful for you all to provide that to your applicant. I already had income tax information and stubs approved already. The total interview took about 30 mins with a few questions about when and where we met, when we got married and if he knew were I lived in the US. They asked for pictures of us and our son which I also had uploaded on CEAC. They kept the paperwork that was accepted along with his passport and provided a checklist of files we need to send/upload. Just not sure how long this will take for them to acknowledge my files. I sent an email, but as it is already the weekend there and holiday Monday I doubt I will hear from them until later next week. Frustrating and feeling defeated again since you get DQ, but than still need more documents Wish I had better news to report, but he did say they were nice and helpful, but spoke really fast for him.
  3. My husbands is tomorrow! Just finally cleared his medical and after having to reschedule our initial interview we are hopeful this will be the final step. 2 years and counting since we initially submitted our package!
  4. Hi Matt, It does seem odd for that wait time bc my husband was DQd on Sept 2 and we received the instructions for interview by the end of the month. We have been in the process for 2 yrs so I have sympathy for you both. Sorry I can't be of much more help, but sometimes knowing there are others in the same situation helps. Janine
  5. Hi Julian, When I filled out the address it said the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it and stick to the date that was on the email. Best of luck!
  6. I hope that is true that they are competent in BKK. It is hard trying to do this whole process in English from America when half the docs are in Thai and even translated they still could be confusing! My husband doesn't live in Bangkok so trying to keep the travel and costs down by making it a trip out of the med and interview. Once we got the interview date and letter we were able to schedule and now there are only two options, Bumrungrad and one other smaller hospital that are approved.
  7. The interview is scheduled for the 11/8 and medical is on 11/4. Thanks for sharing that link. I will read through. I am just so scared that they are confused with my husbands police clearance as he has some old offences that show up on his clearance, but overall has been approved. Good luck and hope you get your interview date soon!
  8. So frustrated, today I just got a message in my CEAC .....POST feedback "This is an incorrect police clearance certificate. please obtain a new correct form refer to packet 3 instruction." I have gone personally and also paid a service to do this clearance for me and both came back with the same certificate. What about I supposed to do now that they say it is incorrect. Has anyone obtained a police clearance certificate for a Thai national lately and can show me what they are looking for. Obviously I have googled images and some are different, but why is it that I have waited so long and paid so much money for the same cert twice and whoever at NVC approved it to make my case DQ and received interview date, but now they are saying it is wrong
  9. In case it helps. Our interview was scheduled 4 weeks from the date that we were Doc Qualified. Now trying to schedule the medical and prep him for the interview. Any help on what he will be asked would be much appreciated!
  10. My husbands docs were finally approved and now we have been told an appt will be scheduled by the NVC with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in BANGKOK, THAI. How long have people been waiting for this next step?
  11. Thanks, just thought I would try to see if there was someone else out there with my situation! It is worth a shot and yes, I have read this several times over and over.
  12. Thank you Jan22 for your reply. Yes, he did have previous felonies which I have acquired docs from the court system and I was hoping if anyone else had final documents that have been accepted from NVC that could help clarify if I have the correct issuing authority.
  13. I need help understanding the correct documents required for the Police and Court Records from Thailand. All of my other documents including the Police Certificate was approved, but this one section has held up our approval. I have read the instructions on what he needs to obtain, but I keep getting different information from the Courts in Thailand. My husband does have a previous history, but has been cleared. When he went to the courts in Bangkok they told him he has to go to Krabi where his original offense was. He has gone there and received a letter standing he no longer has any felonies. What else more is required? I don't want to upload and wait another 2 months to be told this is again rejected. Thank you for your time!
